Super Wash
anatomy Hair consists mostly of a protein called a-keratin. Keratin or horn substance, is a sulfur-containing protein and belongs to a group of fibrous proteins that form the basis of hair and nails and horns. Keratin is produced in special cells found in the outer skin and in the nails. On average, hair consists of 51% carbon, 6% hydrogen, 17% nitrogen and 20% oxygen, but it varies from person to person. Hair roots have an onion shaped root that is surrounded by a hair follicle, and growth rate is the fastest between 15 and 35 years. You can usually divide the hair into three different parts: the cuticle, or the cover cells, which is the outer hard layer of the hair. The cuticle is made up of translucent, overlapping and mountainous cells that grow from the head toward the end of the hair. The scales are thin and colorless and protect the interlayer cortex. Cortex is the largest part of the hair and is made up of round cells. Cortex is important for the strength and elasticity of the hair and there are also the pigments that give us our hair color. The very inner part of the hair is called medulla, and consists of round cells. People with very thin hair may in some cases lose the medulla in their hair. When you get damaged hair you can see the cortex because the protective cuticle layer has been worn out. When Cortex is visible, hair will not be repaired. Because the hair is not living tissue and does not have healing ability, such as your skin, it can not repair itself. Damaged hair may look better with the help of some products but never restored. A damaged Cortex causes hair to break off.
The image shows a very damaged cuticle layer so that the Cortex has been exposed, this hair will not be repaired and it will break off. Causes of damaged hair: Chemical, colored lashes and the color has affected the lashes negatively or made a failed Lash Lift to the lashes, to strong fluids. Hair Cuticle Some people have open hair scales and other people have completely closed hair scales. Those people who have completely closed hair scales will not be able to get good results on the lash lift and the lash extension does not work well on these hairs because the glue can not get a grip on anything, this hair type is called a glass hair. Glasshair Normal hair Damaged hair The picture shows a completely closed cuticle layer that will make sure that the liquid for the lash lift or our lash adhesive does not get firmly attached. The hair scales acts as a protective armor for Cortex and if the cuticle layer is completely closed, nothing will be able to attach to the hair.
Super Wash Our big news is a foam cleanser with unique formula developed by our founder Sandra together with several chemists to open up the hair scales. The cleanser goes into the depths of the hair and lifts the scales so that the adhesive of the lash extension gets a lot better grip and if you do Lash Lift, the fluids enter the Cortex and can change the shape of the hair. Our Super Wash should only be used by a professional stylist, it should not be sold to the customer for aftercare, and should only be used before the treatment. It should NOT be used on people who do not have a glass hair as the cleanser can open the hairs too much on those who already have open hairs. How do I know when to use it and on what customers? You should use the cleanser on those who do not get good results or sustainability on their lash treatment when you first apply it. If the customer does not have good durability on her extension, she only loses the lash extensions, or gets good durability on her lash lift then you should test our Super Wash. If it's a customer that comes the first time, we recommend that you wash with our usual Foam Wash and see the results. If it's bad retention, you can try our Super Wash next time.
How to use Start by cleansing the customer's lashes with Lash for Lash Foam Wash to remove dirt and oil on the fringe. Our Super Wash is not made to clean any dirt, it must be applied to clean lashes to make it work best. After cleaning the lashes, rinse the remaining foam with warm water, wipe with paper so the lashes are dry and clean. Now take our Super Wash and pump out about 2 pumps on each eye and wash the lashes with the cleaning brush. Allow the foam to lie for about 2 minutes on each eye. Then rinse off the foam with warm water (very important that the water is lukewarm / hot, not cold) wipe with paper so the lashes are completely dry. Important that the cleanser should last for about 2 minutes on the lashes to really open the hairs. Now you can apply pads as usual and start your lash extension or lash lift. Important to read: Super Wash is not to be sold as aftercare to clients, for that we recommend our usual Foam Wash For professional use only Do not use on irritated or sensitive skin Always rinse thoroughly with water Use only on the eyelashes, do not wash the entire face with this wash. For daily cleaning, we recommend our Foam Wash
