PRESIDENT S MESSAGE As Uludağ Textile Exporters Association (UTİB), I am thrilled and proud of organizing the Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show, which has drawn attention in the fashion and textile world. As the most important part of the Bursa Textile Show, organized by Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) in Bursa in 14 th of November under a new name, we are one step closer to our goal in making Bursa the capital of fashion and textile. Light room this organization, the city, with a history stretching back to textile weaving and local designers who have been leading the world fashion scene combined their strengths with our worldrenowned fabrics, we will be gaining an unforgettable fashion experience that will be etched in memories. As TFF Magazine, we have recorded what is left from this beautiful cooperation in our special issue. As UTİB, we maintain our position in hosting the activities to work our way up by combining our production power and high technology with our efforts to determine branding and design trends. We retain to direct and lead the fabric and design trends in the world. We will further maximize our mission of creating difference and high value-added products for the branding of the sector. 3 At the gathering, together with the leading representatives of the sector, especially the fabric manufacturers and designers, we grab a slice of history with the eye-catching designs of Atıl Kutoğlu, Dice Kayek, and Selma Çilek using the fabrics of Ezgi, Fabra, İlay, İpeker, Nilba, Seçen, sponsoring the event. We are witnessing the transformation of different and high-quality fabrics into impressive collections with great skill in the hands of each designer. With such positive thoughts and feelings, I would like to extend my gratitude to BTSO mainly, Beyçelik Holding and TEB respectively, for assisting the Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show. The Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show, organize with the aim of revealing the potential of Turkish fabric manufacturers and increasing the added value of the works of our world famous designers, is indeed actualized in Bursa the center of textile and design. 8 The designs that came out of the hands of word famous Designers who preferred to use our fabrics that were produced in Bursa will be presented in a video film show, which is a current trend going on in the world. The importance of the fabric and the quality of the local fabrics are emphasised.

12 fashion designer ATIL KUTOĞLU Can we have your thoughts about the Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show that will be organized for the first time this year? This will be an activity befitting Bursa Textile. It is very nice that Bursa, as a strong and creative fabric and textile sector, has its own fair organization. It will be an environment where Turkish and foreign visitors will be more comfortably interact and to see the collections of Bursa textile designers.
The fabrics produced in Bursa enliven in your hands and turn into eye-catching clothes. Can you tell us about the whole process? How did you get prepared for the Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show? A few years ago, I discovered the collections of Bursa-based textile companies thanks to my dear friend Pınar Taşdelen Engin. And then I couldn t back down. In fact, they are very high quality and worldclass, products that sometimes outpace or in parallel with the trends. Many of them are also working with many famous brands already. This time, we have chosen fabrics that are appropriate to our fashion line from major companies and we interpreted them for the 2019 autumn/ winter season and turned them into cool designs. What would you like to say regarding Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show contributions of Bursa about the center of textiles and design? I think the outcome will be affirmative feedbacksin terms of commercial gains and promotion and image. It s a smart project, and I m fond of it. That is why, I will contribute to the recognition of Bursa textile sector as a brand in Austria and Germany. 13

The fabrics produced in Bursa enliven in your hands and turn into eye-catching clothes. Can you tell us about the whole process? How did you get prepared for the Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show? We selected our fabrics from six different manufacturers as preparation. Among the selected fabrics, the companies produced the ones close to our own style. Then we transformed these fabrics into iconic Dice Kayek designs. What would you like to say regarding Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show contributions of Bursa about the center of textiles and design? We believe that such organization are important in the promotion of Bursa and in the exhibition of local products of the Bursa-based textile companies. I deeply believe that it will be very successful.. 15

I am very happy to be part of such an amazing organization that is to be organized under a new affix for the first time this year. Besides, as a local, it is genuinely indescribable to see such fruitful organizations are being held in Bursa.
The fabrics produced in Bursa enliven in your hands and turn into eye-catching clothes. Can you tell us about the whole process? How did you get prepared for the Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show? For this show, I have prepared 6 combos by choosing fabrics from each of the 6 companies that sponsored this show. At first,i have visited some of the fabric manufacturers in their companies and made several selection for both TFF Show and my winter collection. Some of those companies I have visited, visited me in return. On this occasion, I have had the chance to meet with very successful companies, that can contribute a lot to me. As a team, we tried to crank it up a notch for the top since we were given a limited time to create masterpieces during the desing production process. So I hope the results are going to be as beautiful as we imagined. What would you like to say regarding Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show contributions of Bursa about the center of textiles and design? I think the fabrics of Bursa really constitutes a very important portion of the fabric sector in Turkey. They produce much better in quality and authenticity than many imported fabric producers in the world. Therefore, I believe that these kinds of organizations can increase the possibility of designers so that they will make interactions, so, in return, it will yield in greater results. I hope that, by this beautiful event, I may contribute a little of my knowledge in introducing Bursa fabrics to the wider masses. 17

How does it feel like to watch Ezgi Textile s fabrics for the first time in the collections that will come out with the magical touches of famous designers? Can you relate us your feelings? What would you like to say about the contributions of Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show to Bursa, the center of textiles and design? It has always been a source of pride and motivation for us seeing our elaborated fabrics transforming into breath-taking collections with unique design abilities. 21 It is cordially a crucial contribution for our city to take its rightful place in the textile and fashion world. I think the outcome will yield us greater feedbacks in the up and coming periods.

This type of projects that have been implemented for our city and country by our Presidents Ms. Pınar Taşdelen Engin and Mr. İbrahim Burkay respectively, for this important vision to proceed correctly, deserve a great appreciation. We, as the players of the sector, are trying to support them by making every effort in the so-called visional projects, and we are genuinely proud to take part in an organization with an extreme high brand potential like TFF Fashion Show.
How does it feel like to watch Fabra Textile s fabrics for the first time in the collections that will come out with the magical touches of famous designers? Can you relate us your feelings? Fabra Textile is a company that has been investing in product development and design for many years and engaged in collection works with the world s and Turkey s leading fashion designers. Currently, we export our fabrics, produced by our own designers and engineers and machinery parks to more than 50 countries. However, when it comes to city organizations, it s impossible to getting not excited. As a result, we have actualized such achivements together with people and facilities of this city in a facility located in this city. In this sense, it definitely makes us proud and exciting to see that the fashion designers, who took place in the organization, prepared a collection with fabrics made in our factory, ranging from design to production. We will be seeing these designs for the first time together with our guests. Therefore, we will be watching TFF Fashion Show with great enthusiasm and curiosity. 23
24 What would you say about the contributions of Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show to Bursa, the center of textiles and design? Bursa is a city known for textile and fashion for centuries. For a long time, Bursa has been getting its supply base from world-renowned brands due to its power in design and production. Bursa Textile Show, organized with the support of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Commerce since 2 years centralizes the experiences of the international fairs in Bursa. TFF Fashion Show, that is organized this year will prove that Bursa is not only a production-efficient city but also a fashionable city in the field of fashion design. I think that our city will have more presence in world fashion with such organizations.

This organization has helped us realize the Bursa Fair idea we have dreamed of for years. Through the organization of the Turkish Fashion Fabrics Show (TFF Show), we surely mean to invite people who would like to specialize in the tricks of the trade. It is a known fact that this city is already one of Turkey s largest export castle. We are already in the heart of production.
Offering the textile products produced in the city to the interested parties thanks to Bursa Textile Show, we will bring Bursa one step closer to the brand value it deserves. In fact, this exhibition is an event that will be useful to buyers as well as manufacturers. What would you like to say about the contributions of Turkish Fashion Show to Bursa, the center of textiles and design? Seeing the products they are interested in the city where production is made, will allow buyers to contact with the right people directly. This will offer diversity to buyers, and provide flexibility when buying. There are huge differences in selling and purchasing a product in Paris than in Bursa. In addition, TFF Show is a great opportunity for companies designing successful collections and producing highquality fabrics to start exporting or to increase their export volume. We are happy to be an important part of this organization. How does it feel like to watch İlay Textile s fabrics reflected in the designs of famous designers such as Atıl Kutoğlu, Dice Kayek and Selma Çilek? Designers are our national values. We follow, love and respect each and every one of them in their authentic ways. We genuinely look forward to seeing their designs that are made with our fabrics on podium. I m sure the November 14th will be a very impressive visual feast for all of us. 26
