Suggested Lesson Format for using Mon passport themes *It is important that students be exposed to oral French during every class. A method for doing this is to spend a whole class, oral component (about 15 min) to begin each French class. This can be based in asking and answering oral questions found within the Mon passport theme and the basic vocabulary is provided on the following three pages. Other vocabulary words can be added; found online, or from the Printshop s French thematic, picture dictionary. After asking and answering questions together as a class, students can then move between stations. These stations are not sequential, but rather provide practice communicating about each theme in different ways. The station titles for the Les vêtements / Clothing Mon passport theme are: Station A. Bingo Station B. Devinez qui? / Guess who? Station C. Parade de mode / Fashion show Station D. Colorier et étiquetter / Colour and label Station E. Jeux / Games Partenaires et Mots croisés Station F. Dialogue Station G. Sac magique / Magic bag Station H. Écouter et répondre These stations are the similar within each Mon passport theme (Ma vie, La nourriture, Les activités, Les vêtements). The station pages can be photocopied and distributed as a booklet, or can also be found with audio files on One Note. *The first Mon passport theme that you might consider covering could be Ma vie / My life, which includes basic says about greetings, basic questions, colours and numbers.
