MARKETING FOCUS Lynton wins Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise Award for TRAINING We are delighted to announce that Lynton have been recognised as the best training provider 2015 by the Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise. This award recognises the fact that not only do Lynton take care of the training and development needs of their own staff, by operating management processes compliant with the Investors in People (IiP) Standard, but also that we provide industry-leading training to all our customers. In addition to 1, 2 or 3-days of onsite product training, our customers also benefit from thorough, in-depth training on the key fundamentals of laser safety via our Core of Knowledge Courses. Regular customer workshops and training courses developed in collaboration with the University of Manchester, CIBTAC and the BMLA, and offered at various sites around the country (particularly our Trainig Centre at the Lynton Clinic, South Manchester) were instrumental in helping us win this award. The fact that Lynton are now involved with Health Education England (HEE) in the development of a proposed new qualifcation for all Cosmetic Practitioners, whatever their initial level of training, will have also singled us out from the competition. Lynton s DUETTO MT System featured in VOGUE Lynton are delighted to have featured in a recent issue of Vogue alongside Silk Skin Laser Care Clinic on Harley Street. The article highlighted the use of the world s first Mixed Technology laser; the DUETTO MT, and Vogue seemed to be a little surprised by the excellent results: Once the sun comes out, so do your skimpiest clothes - so if you re considering laser hair removal, then the time is now. Harley Street s Silk Skin Laser Care Clinic is one of the first London clinics to use the new DUETTO MT hair removal laser from Lynton Lasers and we have to say that it s the quickest we ve tried - keeping appointment times to a minimum. That, and the idea of cancelling all future bikini waxes, and we re hooked. Lynton s IPL Trade-In Scheme a Great Success January saw the start of our exclusive IPL Trade-In campaign, offering all IPL owners the opportunity to exchange their existing system for a new Lynton EXCELIGHT. Many clinics and salons across the UK have taken up this chance to introduce and use our latest IPL technology, and are seeing fantastic results. The campaign was a result of our research into the IPL market where we found that many practitioners were becoming frustrated with their old, poorly performing IPL systems. We also found that owners were looking at how to move their business to the next level in aesthetic treatments, and what would guarantee high levels of client satisfaction. This demand, combined with the launch of our new EXCELIGHT, resulted in Lynton providing the perfect solution to these businesses. Despite this great opportunity now coming to an end, Lynton are always looking to help our customers grow their businesses and successfully introduce new technologies as cost-effectively as possible. It turned out that this wasn t a cause for scandal: the Vatican City Museums needed precise lasers to remove particles of dirt from their historic works of art In response to this request, Lynton are now donating one of their state-of-the-art Compact PHOENIX Laser Cleaning Systems to the Vatican Museum. Lynton s Dr Martin Cooper, one of the UK s leading laser conservation specialists, commented: Laser cleaning enables conservators to remove unwanted layers without over-cleaning or damaging the valuable surface of the artwork. This laser is perfectly suited to the work the Vatican Museum has been looking to carry out, and will help ensure the conservation of some of the world s finest artworks. TREATMENT FOCUS Clearing Congestion with ResurFACE Congestion is a problem for many people, particularly young adults or those who suffer with acne. We see it often at the Lynton Clinic and find that combined with a good skincare regime and the right treatment we can massively improve matters. The term congestion is simply just that:- a congested skin that has been caused by oil build-up. The skin is often over-producing oil, which then acts like a glue and prevents the top layer of the skin shedding as it would normally do. The build-up of dead skin makes the skin look dull, and the oil gets stuck in the pores creating a bumpy, uneven appearance and feel to the skin. Make-up will no longer look flawless, and can, in fact, compound the problem by blocking the pores even more unless using a mineral or non-comenogenic product. The problem is best tackled by first gettting the client onto a good AHA based product to encourage the surface skin layers to be broken down, which in turn helps to undo some of the build-up. But we often find that this on it s own just isn t enough and doesn t get deep enough to where the congestion sits. This is where the ResurFACE Handpiece on a LUMINA, DUETTO or Q-PLUS C System comes into play: How does the treatment work? The ResurFACE Handpiece is an ablative fractional laser that creates microscopic holes in the skin. Essentially, it abblates away small areas of the thickened congested skin, creating a laser peel effect. This then speeds up the skin s renewal function, bringing newer, healthier skin through. How does the treatment feel? A degree of heating and some discomfort is felt during treatment. However, a skin cooling device can be used to make treatment as comfortable as possible. Are there any side effects? There is a small amount of downtime (slight redness for 2-3 days and then a slight flaking for 4-7 days). But once this has resolved people find their skin is noticeable better, and is looking and feeling smoother and fresher. How many treatments are necessary? Treatments are conducted every 3 to 4 weeks depending on the area being treated. The number of treatments required varies, although typically 3-5 treatments are needed for optimum results. How long does treatment take? Treatments generally take in the region of 15-30 minutes, depending on the size of the area to be treated. Clearing Congestion is just one of the many applications of the ResurFACE Handpiece. Other fractional treatments include wrinkle and fine line removal, deeper wrinkle correction, sun and age spot reduction, reduction of acne, reduction of traumatic scarring and dyschromia removal - all of which makes the ResurFACE Handpiece an invaluable tool for any Clinic or Salon.
