It was in those years that Carlo Pignatelli made his debut on the catwalk with an unusual groom: lines, colors and fabrics are proposed for a protagonist man. For the first time in the history of men's fashion, a Haute Couture groom's collection destined to immediately have a great success in Italy and all over the world. The Carlo Pignatelli collections, now leader in the Ceremony, whether it is in the world of Wedding or addressed to Special occasions, and events in "elegant dress code", can combine, and ride, tradition and innovation: at the base there is always a classic style and a unique sartorial imprint, a specific value that marks the history of the brand right from the very first Man and Woman collections. However, these features leave space for the study and the launch of the strongest and most recognizable trends, of which the Maison is the undisputed leader. In Carlo Pignatelli's DNA, the constant commitment to reinvent and "revolutionize" the concept of ceremonial clothing is intrinsic, in order to adapt it to the dynamism and to the continuous change of our time, with innovative interventions on the stylistic contents of the collections and the production process of the garments.

ICONIC FASHION DESIGNER Carlo Pignatelli and legendary Italian movie actor Marcello Mastroianni Born in Latiano, Brindisi (Italy) in 1944, world-famous designer Carlo Pignatelli is especially renowned for his men's formal attire. More than 40 years have passed since he began his career in the studios of well-known tailors, learning the art of couture. Pignatelli s style of tailoring has clearly distinguished him since his very first collections of men and women s formal apparel. It is the field of formal apparel and bridal wear that the designer has revolutionised. His creativity and constant demand for innovation steered him towards a re-designing of the stylistic form and content in an area of fashion that is so deeply rooted in tradition. It is with deep respect for the tradition of tailor-made garments that Pignatelli made his first men s collection by hand for its début in Turin in 1980. An atypical bridegroom appears on the runway: unusual lines, colours and fabrics are proposed for a man who can finally play a starring role in a ceremony that until that moment revolved exclusively around the bride. A collection of haute couture emerges for the first time in the history of men s fashion. Carlo Pignatelli s success begins then and there, a success destined to sweep through Italy and around the world. For me, tailoring is about values, a unique instrument to be used on the quest for perfection and beauty on the body. My challenge is to apply it constantly to my research and creativity in such a way as to bring tradition and innovation together. The designer label from Turin stepped onto the runways of the Milano Collezioni Uomo fashion show (as it was called then) for the first time in 1993. The success it met with convinced the studio to adjust its production cycle by transferring some industrial techniques to its handmade procedures. The designer plans each of his collections with the help of his staff at the Carlo Pignatelli SpA headquarters in Turin. The prototypes are all made there. To this day, the atelier sews custom made clothing for celebrities and the most discerning of clients. 1995 marks the memorable affiliation between Pignatelli and Juventus, for which he designs the football team s official uniform. The Italian National Football team follows suit along with Olympic de Marseille (1999), Torino (2001) and Watford (2002) Football Clubs. Today, the more than twenty Carlo Pignatelli collections, including those of his accessory line, embrace both men s and women s worlds. In each of my collections you will find a part of my formation, the art of haute couture, the careful search for quality and innovation, basic principles of this Made in Italy of ours. MARKET LEADER IN ITALY The Italian National Football team wearing Carlo Pignatelli Brand leader in the Italian market for the bridal and groom fashion, the fashion maison Carlo Pignatelli Spa generated a sales turnover of EUR30 million during FY2017. 50% of sales accounted by top 50 retailers in Italy, points of sales in multi-brand stores, where each one generates an average yearly turnover of EUR300,000 for the Carlo Pignatelli collections. Entirely Made in Italy, it s an Italian high Tailoring line that comes from the desire to interpret, revisit, and customize the timeless garments of the male wardrobe, and it follows the trends of the moment with suits and accessories for everyday use for a man who likes to show off his luxury even in a business meeting or a business lunch. The CERIMONIAL collection 2018 is a hymn to beauty and to the authentic concept of elegance. The luxury Haute Couture collection of the maison Carlo Pignatelli is naturally Made in Italy, and the fashion designer was inspired by the aesthetic canons of the past bringing back on stage the good taste of the past but with extreme modernity and actuality. The Carlo Pignatelli Accessories collection interprets the ceremony garments with a unique and personal style. For the designer, the groom's look is impeccable when each element is in the right place. From the classic lace-up shoe to bring with the formal outfits to the patent leather or patent leather slippers designed for the most exclusive dresses. Everything is coordinated with the minimalist design belts or embellished with the logo of the maison which is also used on the chiseled silver cufflinks. The fashion touch, the diamond rosary necklace and the jewel detail on the bow tie. Each piece of the 2018 accessories collection is expertly interpreted with style details and personalized details that make it unique and exclusive. Cult accessory for men is the shoe, strictly black, with fine leathers and various shapes designed for different looks. For the new season the designer presents an accessories collection with an extraordinary charm that emphasizes a certain masculine savoir-faire that for Carlo Pignatelli never goes out of fashion. Like the felt hat from the bowler line, or the stick in worked silver knob. Distinctive signs of elegance are also the jewel details with a masculine taste and an eccentric touch, such as the classic pocket watch chains applied to the waistcoats or the designer broches embellishing the lapels of the jackets with a radical-chic mood.

FASHION AWARDS Carlo Pignatelli CERIMONIAL is the Best Groom Collection 2017. The prestigious award was assigned to the fashion designer during the Elle International Bridal Awards, with the following motivation: "Nomination to the master of the ceremony made in Italy, which made the story of the male suit.
