The toughest test. No matter how much punishment your garments take on the job, there aren t many environments that are harsher than the inside of a washer and dryer. That s why we test and retest the fabrics used in Berendsen Workwear in true-to-life simulations and live at our own industrial laundries. New fabrics and accessories, like buttons and thread, are washed and dried repeatedly. Samples of reflective tape are compared after 15 wash and dry cycles. In a true-to-life simulation, spark-resistant fabric is placed beneath the welding station on a production line. We check for shrinkage after 5, 10 and 50 launderings. It s then evaluated, laundered, and evaluated again to determine if holes develop during laundering.

Fabrics are tested for color-retention and bleeding. After laundering, fabrics are spray-tested and evaluated to ensure that they live up to ISO 4920 standards for water resistance.

All measurements (A, B, C) in the tables are body measurements, with the exception of inside seam (D), which is a measurement for ready-made garments. Our pattern makers ensure perfect fit and comfort by adding ease for movement in the garments. Therefore, they need to be replaced infrequently, which lowers overall impact on the environment. BERENDSEN WORKWEAR OUR OWN FACTORY 7 Our own factory. The 250 employees at our Svarmil factory produced approximately 800,000* Berendsen Workwear garments in 2014. Founded in 1991, in the village of Kiviõli in Northestern Estonia. Svarmil has been a part of Sophus Berendsen A/S and a fully owned subsidiary of Berendsen Plc, since 1999. Svarmil has been ISO9001 and 14001 certified since 2010 and ISO OHSAS 18001: 2007 occupational healt and safety certificat. Svarmil can produce all of the garments in Berendsen Workwear assortment all fabrics and accessories are available. Cutting takes place on high-tech, high-capacity cutting machines. Different sewing lines can express-produce up to 50 garments with short lead time or provide flexible production of higher volumes. Over 00,000 embroideries are produced yearly, either directly on garments or on badges. All garments produced are checked against technical specifications and master garment before shipping. * together with sub suppliers.
