A unique combination of hot Volcanic Stones & cold Marine Stones Marine stones Marine stones are sedimentary rocks which are made up of marine mineral elements. They retain the cold. They are gathered on the seashore and used for their invigorating effects. They are cooled in cold water or ice and are never used with prolonged application. Volcanic stones Basalt is a rock that originates from volcanic eruption and has the capacity to retain heat for much longer than other stones. Basalt stones are very dense and smooth because they have been eroded by water. Their natural color varies from grey to black and some are a more greenish color due to their rich olivine content. When in contact with massage oil the stones become black. For hundreds of years, basalt stones have been used in massage for their decongesting effects on muscular and nervous tension, and for their ability to eliminate toxins. They are used with prolonged application either to decongest an area or a specific point, or as a massage tool. This original method was used by the Chinese, Tibetans and especially the Amerindian shamans. In Hawaii, volcanic stones are used in therapeutic and soothsaying rituals. An original and effective massage The volcanic basalt stones are heated and the sedimentary marine stones, cooled. Before positioning each stone, a concentric spiral is performed with the stone finishing at a central point where it placed. The spiral is performed with a slow effleurage movement, exerting medium pressure. This technique creates a concentration of energy and is an effective way of starting the relaxation process. The penetration of heat is important to provide genuine relaxation but is imperative that you take a certain number of precautions during the treatment. We recommend that, once a week, you put the stones in a natural and original environment. For this, take the stones and put them into a container with water and Marine Algae or Thalassobath Sea Salts.
