Looking Stylish Read this story called Scary Hair which is about a dinosaur that loves to style animals hair. Rex was a kind dinosaur. He liked helping other animals. One day, his dad gave him a shop. Dad painted the name of the shop for him SCARY HAIR. b His dad hoped that Rex would eat lots of animals. He told Rex: First, they sit in your chair. Then you go Raaaah! Then you eat them. But Rex didn t want to eat animals. He wanted to give them dinosaur haircuts. A sad dog came to see Rex. I hate my name, the dog sighed. They call me Pants, just because I go pant pant. Rex didn t eat the dog. He gave him a wild dinosaur haircut. Now you can change your name to Spot! Rex said. You ve made me very happy, said Spot. I ll tell my friend Shocker about you. Shocker the sheep came along. She said, I hate the way I look. Rex didn t eat her. He cut off all her wool. Wow, I feel so cool! said Shocker. Now I can go to a party. 58 Topic 9 Unit A

Pong the skunk was too smelly to get on a bus. He went to see Rex. Pong said, I hate being stinky. Rex didn t eat him. He gave Pong a wash and dry. Hurray! said Pong. Now I can go anywhere! Soon the shop was full of animals. They said, Thank you, Rex. You ve made us all very happy! I love this job, smiled Rex. And he painted a new name for his shop HAPPY HAIR! Which hairstyles are fashionable? Topic 9 Unit A 59

What does success mean to you? Read what these teenagers say about success. I think success means being happy liking yourself and liking the work you do every day. If you re famous, you re a success! For me, if I am healthy, that s success. In my opinion, I will feel successful when I own a big house and nice car. Success means becoming the boss of my own successful business. I think success is having lots of friends and lots of free time to enjoy life. Success is having people in your life who care about you having good relationships. What do you think success is? Success, in my opinion, would be studying at university and becoming a professor. Success, I think, is having a great job in a big company and earning lots of money. For me, success means getting married and having a happy family. Topic 9 Unit C 63
