Our solid hardwood furniture is sure to please the user today and the next generation as an heirloom. Care for your new chest is very simple. Solid hardwood resists marring and scratching. If it does get damaged in severe use, it can be repaired because it is solid wood throughout. The protected natural fibers in the hardwood may swell or shrink slightly from season to season. Extremely dry conditions will cause the grain to open, or if used in a damp environment, you may notice a swelling or warping. Direct exposure to sunlight over a long period of time may change the color of the wood. Exercise care to avoid these extremes in humidity, dryness or brilliant sunlight, and your chest will remain beautiful for many years and be useful in preserving your treasures. 2
