Structure of the skin EPIDERMIS DERMIS HYPODERMIS To better understand how YALODÉ cream acts, it is important to know the structure of skin, which has three layers. The external layer of the skin is called Epidermis, which acts as a barrier against external influences. The Epidermis is a complex structure with four layers between the Base layer, the deepest one that separates the Epidermis from the Dermis and the Stratum Corneum, the most external one that interacts with the environment. All the layers of the Epidermis contain two important substances: Hyaluronic acid and Ceramide, which strengthens the skin barrier s function.
