Galactic City Costume Club B-Wing Pilot (Episode VI) Standard FLIGHT SUIT The flight suit is long-sleeved, Chinese red or a medium to dark red. The suit fits the costumer with the waist at the costumer s waist and the shoulder seams at the costumer s shoulders. The collar is folding with a small rectangular closure tab on the front, which opens to the costumer s left. A strip of material covers the zipper on the chest, and can be a separate piece of material stitched onto the chest of the flight suit or the type commonly seen on work coveralls. The flight suit has two long rectangular pockets on the upper legs, starting approximately at the top of the hips. The pockets have rectangular flap closures that fasten in place. Optionally, the flight suit can include similar pockets on the lower legs which end approximately three inches below the knee. These extra pockets are not required. The flight suit has a tool or pen pocket on the upper part of the left arm and is rotated at an angle turning toward the torso. The tool pocket is constructed of three panels, a large rectangular panel under a smaller rectangular panel and a panel shorter than the second but of the same width over the second panel. The smaller panels divide with a stitch in the center which divide two rows of tool pockets. The sides of the panels have two rows of stitching. Optionally, reinforced stitching on the center small panel and on either side can be included but are not required. The flight suit has rectangular shoulder panels that either line up with the edge of the shoulder tuck area of the coveralls or are sewn onto the shoulder seam. These should end approximately 1 from the collar. The front edge lines up approximately with the bottom of the collar tab with the back edge approximately 4 down the back of the shoulders. Nomex style flight suit angled chest pocket pointed edges are visible behind the flak vest. The full pockets are optional. The outer edges of these pockets wrap around the torso and meet and are sewn into the side seam. The bottom edges of these pockets can meet the waist band or can be sewn under the band. The flight suit does NOT have a comm pad pocket and has no pocket on the right arm. Rear and leg tool pockets are removed. Hip pockets are optional. Any openings on the suit sides are sewn closed. FLAK VEST The flak vest is constructed of wool, heavy felt or similar materials, light to medium grey in color with colored fibers similar to a disaster relief blanket. There is a line of single stitching along the edges of the front and back of the vest. The vest is to be of good fit to the wearer and measurements adjusted accordingly. Galactic City Costume Club B-wing Pilot Episode VI Standard 1

The front panel of the vest is square in shape with wings on either side fitting around the torso. It has a rounded scoop neck, two wide shoulder straps with angled tabs on the bottom, two ribs approximately ¼ to ½ below the neck and a rectangular bit of white material at the bottom of the costumer s left side with a computer connector attached, The back panel is of rectangular shape, higher vertically than the horizontal width. Two shoulder straps (thinner than the front panel straps) are sewn over the front panel straps, ending without a finished edge. There is a single thick stitch across the lower center area approximately 1 below the center line. Two side straps of 2 white webbing are attached to the back panel and continue around the torso, fastening under the front panel of the vest. Fasteners are hidden. The female end of the side-release buckle rides approximately ½ below the rear panel shoulder straps. The shoulder straps of the rear panel lay over the shoulders of the front panel and the buckle attaches below. The buckles are held in place by a smooth plastic or metal clip, or alternatively with a 1 strip of black webbing with the ends of the webbing behind the buckle. FLAK VEST GREEBLIES The flak vest includes three greeblies. One is a long computer connector attached to the white material patch on the flak vest. This connector is a D-subminiature plug with a silver/metal type base, red blue, black or white plastic plug with gold or silver prongs OR an Amphenol 26-4200 32S with a silver metal base, blue plastic casing and flat gold connectors. The second of the greeblies attaches approximately in the center of the vest, a 1 Bendix bulkhead connector (or replica) or a 1 Amphenol MIL plug (or replica.) If using a replica Bendix it should be metal or painted silver with a black inner circle and, if prongs are present, prongs painted silver or gold. If a replica of the Amphenol MIL plug is used, the plug is painted grey, the inner circle painted blue and the prongs painted either silver or gold. The third of the greeblies is placed to the right of the second of the greeblies, a rectangular silver hardware piece with computer parts or alternatively, a squared green computer motherboard piece with parts, such as diodes, chips, or transistors. The third does not sit along the far edge of the vest. CHEST BOX The chest box is constructed of a rigid material, approximately 9 from highest to lowest point vertically and 9 horizontally. The chest box can be of the varied styles seen in the films. The edges can be straight or rounded inward, and the bottom edge can slant slightly deeper than the top edge. A 1 strap of black webbing is either attached to the back of the chest box or can fit into slots for the straps on the back. The strap ends have a male end of a 1 black plastic side-release buckle, with the female end attached to the flak vest. Galactic City Costume Club B-wing Pilot Episode VI Standard 2

A hose covered in a white, wrinkled material is included on the chest box, costumer s left side. The hose drapes approximately to lower calf. The other end of hose tucks under the front or rear of the flak vest. EJECTION HARNESS The ejection harness is constructed of 2 white webbing, matching the side straps of the flak vest and the belt. The length is folded in half and the center point is attached onto the bottom tab of the flak vest, with two rows of grey or black stitching. The ends of the harness drape in front of the legs with the ends looping around the back of the legs. These ends tuck behind the flat silver metal slides. BELT The belt is constructed of 2 webbing, white in color, matching the flak vest side straps. A short section of the 2 white webbing layers over the front center portion of the belt around the stomach. The belt has two black triangular safety stitches pointing inward. The belt includes six flare loops of 1 white webbing on the costumer s right side of the belt. The rear of the belt has a 2 black plastic side-release buckle. GLOVES The gloves are black, gauntlet style with flared cuffs, constructed of leather or leather-like material. Rubber or cloth gloves are not allowed. The gloves have no visible straps, buckles or fasteners. GAITERS The costume includes a pair of tan gaiters constructed of finely-textured materials. The gaiters can be constructed of canvas, duck, leather, leather-like material or other similar materials. The bottom of the gaiters touch the top of the foot. The gaiters include two folded ribs that are vertical on the front with a small space between. The back of the gaiters have a single seam. A ¾ -1 black side release buckle is on the outside edge of the two front folds on each gaiter. The buckles attach by a small piece of black webbing that does not extend below the lower edge of the buckle. There are no other buckles on the gaiters or slides on the gaiters. A strap of the same material or material similar to the gaiters loops from the front to the back, with the ends of the straps at the back of the gaiters. These ends can be sewn into the back seam or layered on top of the seam. The strap should fit slightly loose and drape slightly in the front. The gaiters have a square stitch at the front center and can be used to secure the strap if the costumer chooses. The gaiters should measure from approximately the upper center of the calf to the top of the foot with room for folding as the costumer walks. BOOTS Black boots or shoes with a low heel constructed of leather or leather-like material are worn. The boots or shoes can slip on or can include a black zipper on the side on the inside of the leg. If the boots or shoes have buckles or straps they must be hidden or can be removed. The boots or shoes can be of any height (below the knee) as the upper section is hidden by the gaiters. Galactic City Costume Club B-wing Pilot Episode VI Standard 3

The X-wing pilot helmet has a Mohawk design with raised side panels as were used in the films. The helmet includes a trapezoidal cap on the front with an appropriate design. The helmet has either a dark grey or amber visor covering the eyes that can be fixed or able to slide up into the helmet. The helmet includes a white chin cup with black elastic strapping that attach to the inside of the helmet. The helmet includes black weather stripping around the borders of the neck and ears.
