Rebel at heart Collection Cool urban heroes are now putting the pedal to the metal: they are conquering the urban jungle, living their very own rebellious lifestyle. No time for half measures standing up against the mainstream with true style and a Rock n Roll attitude. The Rebel at heart 2010 line is just as unconventional as the modern rebels of the world s fashion capitals. An absolute highlight is the new, square case shape in trendy colours and styles, for example with a two-part leather strap in a cool antique silver look. And the existing success models have been reinterpreted: they now also appear with jewellery symbols such as the bull s head and the lily cross rivets. A real statement for the rebel in you! It Girl Collection The city is their catwalk, the dance floor their home: It girls are hip style queens and know exactly what they want, creating trends rather than following them. Always being at the vanguard of trends and celebrating style and fashion at the same time. Fuchsia, orange and aqua are the new summer colours, which can casually be combined with the matching jewels from the Sterling Silver Collection. It s a colour dream! The classic Black & White is also a magnet for compliments. 1. Quartz movement All THOMAS SABO watches are equipped with a quartz movement powered by a battery. One benefit of the quartz movement is its high degree of accuracy. THOMAS SABO uses Miyota quartz movements. Miyota is a subsidiary of Citizen and is a high-end movement manufacturer. Miyota movements are also used in such brands as Armani. 2. Chronograph Chronograph is the description for a watch with an additional stopwatch function. A chronograph measures various time intervals with the help of sub-dials, so-called counters. The large second hand functions as the stop-second. 3. Sports watch A sports watch has a rotatable bezel (external ring on the casing) with a minute scale for marking start times, as is required in diving sports, for example. 4. Closing systems (pin buckle and butterfly clasp) There are two closing systems used in the collection: the butterfly clasp and the pin buckle. With its two wings, the butterfly clasp offers additional security, as the watch cannot fall off the wrist in the event of unintentional opening. Watches 4
1. Stainless steel Stainless steel is an extremely robust material with a high degree of hardness. Therefore, it is more resistant to scratches and other wear and tear than silver, for example. Stainless steel does not rust and is particularly durable. 2. Embossed leather (cowhide) As one of the classic materials for straps, leather is also presented in the various THOMAS SABO Watches Collection lines : in a stylish alligator look but also with a wide, embossed cross pattern. Padding in the strap ensures optimum comfort. 3. Ceramic Ceramic is a particularly exquisite and high-quality material. The high-end It Girl Collection models shimmer as a result of this material. And ceramic is not only stunning to look at, it also offers other benefits: it is around 30% lighter than stainless steel, feels warmer on the skin and is particularly scratchresistant. 4. Silicon rubber The sporty watch straps made from silicon rubber stand out in terms of their water resistance, toughness and comfort. They are easy to clean and their temperature is always pleasant. The deep-embossed lettering on the outer and inner sides is a real eye-catcher and increases recognition. Materials 5
5. Satin Several models in the THOMAS SABO Watches Collection come with delicately-shiny satin straps. Satin is an exquisite fabric, every bit able to compete with the red carpet. Watches with satin straps are the perfect accessory for the little black dress. 6. Ion-plating Ion-plating is a stainless steel plating process. This is a topquality coloration of the stainless steel surface that is particularly durable and resistant to external influences. The result of the ion plating coating can barely be described as merely»plating«, as it offers virtually the same properties as a colouring integrated into a stainless steel surface with its particular hardness and adherence. Ion-plating in matt black perfectly complements the Rebel at heart Collection designs for gentlemen, and the shiny polished finish adds a sparkle to the ladies models. 7. Hardened mineral glass The watch s dial is protected by a hardened mineral glass. The additional sapphire coating increases the glass s hardness and ensures a resistance to scratches that verges on that of a sapphire glass. Furthermore, the glass is non-reflecting, ensuring it can be read even in extreme light conditions. Materials 6
1. Sunray dial The»sunray«look dial provides a particularly beautiful sheen. Light flickers across the surface of the dial like the rays of the sun. This effect is achieved by the filigree grooves on the surface which playfully reflect light. 2. Motifs on leather Some of the Rebel at heart Collection models feature integrated motifs on their leather straps. 3. Luminous hands Luminous lacquer is applied to the hands to allow the watch to be read even in total darkness. The luminous hands absorb daylight and continually emit light in the dark. 4. Embossed case backs The backs of THOMAS SABO watches are also beautiful. An elaborately-embossed logo adorns the case backs and in addition to the fabulous design also offers wearers information on the material and water resistance. Special features 7
