What is Tea Tree oil? Tea Tree oil is originally an Australian product made from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia. The distillation process, a very natural production method subject to strict quality controls, results in a product purity level of 100%. Dozens of kilos of Tea Tree leaves are needed to obtain just a few drops of this essential oil.
The scent of the essential oil is similar to camphor and eucalyptus but a bit more spicy and woody once the first, most volatile scent molecules have evaporated. And since it is a pure and natural product, the colour of the pure oil can vary from colourless to light yellow. Tea Tree oil has extraordinarily beneficial effects. The oil does not irritate the skin and, unlike chemical agents, it is not poisonous, since it is a natural product. Tea Tree oil does not damage healthy tissues, and it stimulates normal cell growth and cell renewal. Tea Tree oil is a skin care oil made using natural processes.
