***HOW TO ASSEMBLE*** I put packets together like a sandwich, with the hostess flier and team-building flier being the bread slices (each facing outward in the cello bag) and the business card, Team-Building brochure and Team-Building CD as the sandwich filling so that when your customer/prospect looks at it, she sees the hostess flier on one side and the Team-Building flier on the other side. Everything else is in middle. Shown below is the assembled packet, front and back. YOU CAN PUT ALL THE ITEMS ON THIS LIST IN THE MK PARTY TOTE (available for $38 on the MK Connections section of www.marykayintouch.com) This is what the inside of my Party Tote looks like.
Left to right: Roll-up bag standing up, quick zip bags, and at far right you can see the disposable facial cloths. Underneath them lying flat are my mirrors with trays inside, and below my stack of mirrors are extra trays, so when I put mirrors away after a party, they are reloaded with clean new trays so they re ready to go for the next party! At top center of bag is my MK Brush Collection for demo. At bottom center of bag is padfolio (you can see my Look Book in the Look Book saver tucked inside with spiral edge up). Below padfolio you can see my hostess/recruiting packets, which I put in the large inside zip pocket. I unzipped it in this picture so you could see everything. The only thing I put in the outside pockets of my Party Tote: Calculator in one pocket Pre-profiled cards for guests at party in the other, along with some pens so when I get to the party, I can pull those out right away and have people working on them while I set up. What you don t see in this picture: My quick zip bag of mineral powder foundation demos and my quick zip bag of mineral powder foundation brushes. I have been using ONLY the new TimeWise Foundations during the Save the Nation with Foundation challenge. FINAL THOUGHTS: It is always easier to be overprepared than underprepared. That means have extra Profile Cards in case there are more guests than you expected. Have extra mirrors and trays and placemats etc. Have extra EVERYTHING. That s why I make up 30 color cards at a time, 30 hostess packets at a time, and order my eye, cheek, and lip color samples multiple sheets at a time. Easy rule of thumb: once a month, make sure you have 30 of EVERYTHING (enough for a Power Start). It takes less time to do things assembly-line style ONCE a month vs. put things together 4 or 5 or 6 at a time before every single appointment. (Ugh, that makes me tired just thinking about it!) As for closing, if you don t have a solid close memorized, make that a top priority. You should be able to jump in and close your OWN guests or another Consultant s guests at a moment s notice, if needed. As Mary Kay always said, if you hold it make sure to CLOSE it! Worst case scenario simple close script: Flip over your Customer Profile card. There are some questions on the back if you d just fill those out for me, that would be great. It s not the best close, but it works. And the question that asks what they d like to take home that day makes it easy to just review their answers, and write it up on a sales ticket. Again, not the BEST close, but always good in a pinch. Another easy close: use the skincare class closing sheet you ll find in the training center section of our future national area web site. Simply pass it out, let guests fill it out, and then write up their order on a sales ticket, based on what set(s) they circle on the closing sheet.
