Place everything on sections of newspaper for quick and easy cleanup. Keep paper towels or napkins handy for wiping the paintbrush clean after washing. Have a cup of water handy for rinsing your paintbrush. We also recommend taping down a large sheet of wax paper (not included) on top of the newspapers.
How to Install Batteries in Nail Salon Step 2 See back page for important battery information. PUSH IN CLIP SCREW BATTERY COVER BATTERY COVER 2 "AA/LRS" ALKALINE BATTERIES BATTERY COMPARTMENT BATTERY COMPARTMENT A. Turn the Nail Salon upside down. B. Locate the Battery Compartment and use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the screw holding the battery cover in place. Note: Do not remove the screw, just loosen. C. Press in Clip on Battery Compartment and lift cover off. A. Next insert (2) "AA/LRS" Size alkaline batteries into the Battery Compartment, carefully noting the direction of the (+) and (-) symbols on the batteries. B. Replace the Battery Cover and tighten the screw in place. How the Nail Salon Operates Step 3 KNOB 2 OFF POSITION A. The Knob located on the top of the Nail Salon controls two functions. B. One of them is to turn on the fan that dries your fingernails after polishing them (Position 1). C. The second is to turn on the nail polish Mixer that will mix the polish in the nail polish bottle (Position 2). Note. Refer to the information below for quick reference before using the Knob. D. Middle position is OFF. Leave in this position when not in use. Position Position A. Turning the Knob to number 1 position will turn the fan ON to dry your fingernails. AIR FLOW B. Turning the Knob to number 2 position will turn the Nail Polish Mixer ON. C. This will mix the nail polish in the bottle. MIXER 3
Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 How to Make Different Colored Nail Polish CUT CUPS APART A. With adult supervision, first cut the Cups of Nail Polish apart using a pair of household scissors. B. Locate the bottle of white Nail Polish, the Scoop and the Nail Polish bottles. C. Carefully following the Color Chart shown below, choose one of the colors you would like to color your nails with. BOTTLE CAP SNIP OFF TIP OF BOTTLE A. Remove the Cap from bottle of white nail polish. B. With adult supervision, cut the tip from the bottle using a pair of household scissors. WHITE NAIL POLISH RED, YELLOW AND BLUE Assembly and Preparation BOTTLE CAP A. Locate the parts to the nail polish bottles. B. Push the Brush into the Nail Polish Cap until it snaps securely in place. C. Screw Cap onto the bottle. D. Assemble the other bottle in the same manner. BRUSH How to Blend Different Colors SCOOP BOTTLES POUR A COUPLE OF DROPS OF WHITE BOTTLE SHOULD BE 3/4 FULL WHEN YOU FINISH BOTTLE CAP POUR ONLY DROPS OF FOR ACCURATE MEASURING A. Remove cap from bottle of white nail polish and squeeze out a couple of drops into the nail polish bottle. Make bottle 1/2 full. B. Remove the lids off the nail polish cups. C. Using the Scoop (included) dip the Scoop into the nail polish cups and drop the necessary amount of colors you need for the color of your choice. D. Create your own colors and write them in the chart at right. Note: Wash Scoop clean between each color. Bottle should be filled 3/4 full. 6 drops of Red + 6 drops of Blue = Purple 4 drops of Red + 8 drops of Blue = Violet 6 drops of Blue + 6 drops of Yellow = Green COLOR CHART 8 drops of Blue + 4 drops of Yellow = Aqua 6 drops of Yellow + 6 drops of Red = Orange 8 drops of Yellow + 4 drops of Red = Peach Note: Add the white nail polish to nail polish bottles after mixing the colors. How to Mix Colors Step 7 A. Replace the nail polish bottle cap onto the bottle and make sure it is screwed on tightly. B. Place the bottle onto the Nail Polish Mixer and snap in place until secure. C. Turn the Knob on the Nail Salon to Position number 2 (refer to Step 3). The Nail Polish mixer will vibrate and mix the paint. Note: Leave on for approximately 30 seconds. Then remove bottle and put aside. BOTTLE MIXER WHEN TURNED ON, MIXER WILL VIBRATE AND MIX THE Step 8 Before you begin, wash your fingers thoroughly with mild soap, warm water and the sponge included in this set NAIL SHEET How to Attach the Stick-on Nails NAIL PEEL UP A PIECE OF A. Locate the nail adhesive sheet and Stick-on Nails on the ring. B. Pick out the right size Stick-on nail and adhesive for your finger. C. Peel up one of the pieces of adhesive and place on one of your fingernails as shown adhesive side down. D. Peel off the backing on the Adhesive. PEEL OFF BACKING ON ON RING E. Remove one of the Stick-on Nails from the ring holder and place curved side down on top of adhesive. Note: Press Stick-on nail down firmly until the nail is securely in place. F. Attach the Stick-on nails to the rest of your fingers in the same manner and use the Emery Board to file down edges. WARNING: SHOULD NOT BE WORN FOR MORE THAN 12 HOURS. How to Attach Nail Sticker Sheet Step 9 PIECE OF CLEAR TAPE GUIDE WHEEL ROLL WHEEL IN DIRECTION OF ARROW END OF LONG NAIL STICKER SHEET LONG NAIL STICKER SHEET WHEEL A. Snap Wheel in place in the well of the Nail Salon as shown. B. Locate the decorative Long Nail Sticker Sheet. C. Insert one end of the sheet through the Guide and onto the Wheel located on the Nail Salon. D. Tape end of sticker sheet to the wheel with a small piece of clear tape (not included). A. Rotate the wheel in the direction of the arrow until the Sticker sheet is completely wound around the Wheel. B. Make sure some of the end of Sticker Sheet sticks out from the Guide as shown. 5
How to File your Stick-On Nails Step 10 A. Locate the Emery Board. B. Before you start polishing your Stick-on nails, use the Emery Board to shape them to your satisfaction. Step 11 How to apply the Nail Polish A. Place your fingers on the nail polishing station of the Nail Salon. B. Take your bottle of nail polish, remove the Cap with brush attached and brush light, careful, even coats of polish onto the nails. Note: Take your time, there's no hurry! It's more important to do a neat, careful job. C. After the first coat of polish has dried (see Step12), apply a second coat. APPLY A LIGHT EVEN COAT OF POLISH TO EACH NAIL. How to apply the Glitter to Stick-on Nails Step 12 Nail polish should still be moist before applying the Glitter to the Stick-on nails. GLITTER WILL FALL THROUGH THE HOLES 1 BAG OF GLITTER BOTTOM HALF OF GLITTER CUP INDENT SHOULD STILL BE MOIST WHEN APPLYING GLITTER A. Locate the bag of Glitter and two Glitter Cups. B. Separate the Top half of a Glitter Cup from the Bottom half. C. Cut a small hole in the corner of the Glitter Bag and pour some of the contents into the Bottom half of the Glitter Cup. D. Replace Top half onto Bottom half. Suggestion. Prepare Glitter Cups before polishing your Stick-on nails. 6 A. Place one of your fingers on top of the second Glitter Cup as shown, with the finger resting on the indent. B. With the nail polish on your Stick-on nails still moist, sprinkle glitter onto some or all of the Stick-on nails. Note: Glitter that falls into the empty cup can be used again.
How to Dry the Nail Polish Step 13 A. Locate the area on the Nail Salon that has the vents for the Nail dryer. B. Turn the Knob on the Nail Salon to Position number 1 (refer to Step 3). The fan inside the Nail Salon will turn ON and air will blow out through the vents as shown at right. C. Place your fingers on the platform in front of the vents and leave in place until your Stick-on nails have dried. NAIL DRYER VENT FINGERS SHOULD REST ON INDENTS AIR FLOW How to Decorate your Stick-on Nails Step 14 Decorating with Paintbrush A. Locate the cups of colored nail polish and the paintbrush. B. Dip the end of your paintbrush into any of the colors and make fun designs on your nails. Note: Some of the many designs you can make are shown below. Be as creative as you can and come up with some of your own ideas. Some Samples shown below Decorating with Sticker Sheet to Stick-on Nails A. Pull out the sticker roll from the wheel on the Nail Salon slightly. B. Peel the decorative stickers from the Sticker sheet and press onto your Stick-on nails to make an attractive design. DECORATIVE STICKERS Decorating with Foil Sticker Sheet to Stick-on Nails A. Locate the Foil Sticker Sheet. B. Peel the stripes off the Sticker sheet and press onto your Stick-on nails to make an attractive design. FOIL FOIL STRIPES 7
Polish your Toenails Step 15 TOE SEPARATOR (flat side down) A. Locate the Toe Separator. B. Place the Toe Separator in between your toes flat side down. C. Polish your toenails as explained earlier. Note: The Toe Separator is used to keep your toes apart so the wet nails will not touch each other while painting them. Final Care and Cleaning CLEANING TIPS PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SHOULD NOT BE WORN FOR MORE THAN 12 HOURS. REMOVE BEFORE BEDTIME. YOU CAN EASILY PEEL THE POLISH OFF YOUR AND REAL AT ANY TIME. REPAINT THEM ANOTHER COLOR. DO NOT USE REMOVER TO REMOVE THE, SOAK FINGERS IN WARM WATER FOR A FEW MOMENTS, THEN CAREFULLY TAKE OFF THE. DO NOT REMOVE WHEN DRY. USE THE SPONGE INCLUDED TO WASH YOUR FINGERS THOROUGHLY. INGREDIENTS: Vinyl Acetate Copolymer Emulsion, Water, Calcium Carbonate, Quaternium-15, Petroleum Distillate. COLORS MAY CONTAIN: Titanium Dioxide, Ultramarine Blue, FD & C Red NO. 7, FD & C Yellow No. 5. Remember to always place enough newspapers under your project at all times to avoid causing damage to table tops and to make cleanup a lot easier after you've finished for the day. For accurate blending of colors, be sure to mix the nail polish according to the Color Chart on page 4. Glitter and Stickers are for decorating the plastic Stick-on nails, not your real nails. Before you mix up a new nail polish color in the bottle be sure to wash everything thoroughly with mild soap and water. Bottles should be filled 3/4 full for proper mixing. Consult physician if irritation occurs. HELPFUL HINTS Battery installation or replacement should be made by an adult only. Use only batteries recommended and be sure to insert them in the Nail Salon correctly. DO NOT mix old and new batteries. DO NOT mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. DO NOT attempt to burn batteries. Dispose of batteries safely and correctly. Be sure to remove batteries if your Nail Salon will not be used for a long period of time. Stick-on nails should not be worn for more than 12 hours. IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be short circuited. Keep packaging for reference since it contains important information. 8
