For Cami & Antoinette Fabric Satin, Silk, brocade or similar weight fabric, silk essence for lining Notions 7-8ct. snap sets, tiny button, optional trim General Instructions Layout and cut all pattern pieces, following the grain line indicated on pattern. Seam allowance is ¼ and is already included within the dimensions of the pattern. Unless noted otherwise, you will use this seam allowance throughout construction. Clip seams and press as you work, RST = Right Sides Together, WST = Wrong Sides Together Jacket 1. RST sew center back seam. Press seam open. 2. RST sew jacket side back sections to jacket back. 3. RST sew jacket side front sections to jacket front sections. 4. Sew front to back at the shoulder seams. 5. Repeat steps 1-4 with lining. 6. Zigzag or serge armhole opening of lining. 7. Sew lining front to back at the side seams. 8. Right sides together fold collar in half lengthwise. Sew side raw edges. Trim seam allowance and clip corners. Turn Collar right side out. Stay stitch bottom raw edge. 9. Pin collar to jacket matching center of collar to center back seam. Sew in place. 10. RST pin sleeve facing to sleeve. Sew around the cuff. Clip seam from edge to stich line, turn cuff right side out and press. 11. Run a gather stitch across the top of the sleeve cap. Pull gathers to fit armhole. 12. Pin sleeve in place and sew. 13. Sew jacket front to back at the side seams. 14. Pin lining to jacket with right sides together with collar and sleeves tucked in. 15. Starting at the hem edge sew around the whole garment, leaving a small unstitched area for turning. 16. Clip seams, turn and press. 17. Tuck the turning area up into the garment and hand sew opening closed. 18. Fit to doll. Mark snap placement. Sew snaps. 19. Sew snap at cuff to close. Add additional trim and tiny buttons as desired. Skirt 1. Sew skirt back sections to skirt front at side seams. Zigzag or serge raw hem edge. 2. RST sew skirt ruffle pieces together. 3. Serge/over lock top and bottom edge of ruffle. 4. Run a gather stitch ½ inch from upper ruffle edge. 5. Pull gathers to fir lower skirt edge. Pin in place and sew. 6. Run a gather stitch across the top edge of the skirt section. 7. Pull gathers to fit waistband. RST pin waistband to skirt and sew in place. 8. Zigzag or serge both back openings. 9. Sew skirt together at the center back seam from hem to dot. 10. Turn the left back opening under ¼. Fit to dolls waist and finish with snaps. Bustle 1. Sew bustle ruffle pieces together. 2. Serge/over lock upper and lower edge of bustle ruffle. 3. Run a gather stich lengthwise through the middle of the ruffle. 4. Serge or zigzag straight raw edge of bustle. 5. Pull gathers to fit straight raw edge of bustle. Pin in place and sew together. 6. Run a gather stitch around curved edge of bustle. 7. Matching center of bustle tie with center of gathered round edge, pin bustle to bustle tie with 2 ½ of bustle on each side of the center. (marked on pattern piece) 8. Sew bustle to tie. 9. RST fold tie ends in half and sew from end to bustle edge. Clip seams and turn. With bustle raw edge pressed up, turn center of tie under and baste to finish.
