In the Lwer Schl, the dress cde is viewed as an pprtunity t slwly expse students t chices. As they prgress thrugh Trinity (frm TK-12), student freedms increase in the unifrm/dress cde. Learning t make wise chices is ne f the gals f Trinity s unifrm/dress cde. The base daily unifrm and dress cde applies each day unless therwise nted and annunced in advance. Alternative dress days may include: Black and Gld Days Physical Educatin Attire n nn-chapel days Special Event Days (E.g. Field Day) Cncerts r ther ceremnies Dress Cde Infractins fr Lwer Schl If a student is ut f dress cde, the parents may be called and asked t bring the prper attire. Students may be asked t wait in the ffice until parents arrive. Discernment is used t identify an infractin related t a misunderstanding versus an intentinal vilatin f the dress cde. While a student wh unintentinally is in vilatin may be required t change clthes and wait in the ffice until prper clthing arrives, that is nt intended as a disciplinary measure. Intentinal r cnsistent vilatin f the dress cde will lead t disciplinary actins including lss f privileges fr special dress days. Updates regarding 2017-2018 dress cde changes: Remved restrictin that bys culd nt wear shrts in winter mnths. Given sme differences in LS versus US (such as PE and a daily recess f typically at least 30 minutes), this is an area that the LS can be different in expectatins than in US. Lands End discntinued sme items these items are still allwed t be wrn (such as the ruffle shirt fr TK-2 nd grade girls) but are crssed ut n the dress cde since they cannt be purchased utside f a Used Unifrm Sale. Lands End mdified sme ther items such as the PE shrts. The ld-style PE shrts are still allwed but are n lnger available fr purchase nline; if yu need new PE shrts yu may purchase them nline under the Trinity Academy schl cde. The by shrts are the apprpriate shrts fr all students. We added black as a sck clr t make it easier t find apprpriate scks. Belts shuld be wrn in pants with belt lps (fr bth bys and girls). Exceptins allwed fr TK-1 st grade bys. Khaki-clred items must be a khaki clr and nt live. Athletic r casual shes are apprpriate. Unsafe shes such as Crcs, flip-flps, sandals, thngs, r excessively high heels are nt permitted. Please nte that bts are nt allwed. Shestrings shuld match the shes and nt standut in cntrast t the shes in either design r clr. Shes with wheels r lights are nt permitted. Shes shuld nt be a distractin r distinguishing feature f a Trinity Academy student. Scks r tights must be wrn with all shes; bare feet are nt permitted. Scks must be white, black, r navy in clr ONLY and visible abve the she. Bdy piercing is nt permitted (except fr girls ears). Tatts are nt acceptable, either permanent r temprary, except fr special spirit days when temprary face stickers may be apprpriate as lng as they are nt distracting frm the educatinal envirnment. N hats, caps, bandanas, r ther headwear permitted inside (including the Atrium). Hairstyles shuld be clean, neat, and cnventinal in style and clr. Navy lg fleece jackets, navy lg half-zip fleece pullvers, navy cardigans and maize sweater vests may be wrn in the classrm. All skirts and the tps f slits in skirts shuld be at r belw the knee. NAVY mdesty shrts are required under all jumpers and skirts, year-rund. Navy is the nly acceptable clr fr mdesty shrts. Undergarments (camisles r sprts bras) are required t be wrn by girls by 4 th grade. Girls are especially sensitive as they develp r bserve ther girls physically maturing and the camisle r sprts bra allws girls t feel mre secure in this area, even if physical develpment is nt yet visible.
