Lot: 1 1851 The Great Exhibition; A 19th century Pratt type flask, the front decorated with a colour transfer scene of figures outside Crystal Palace, the reverse with a sepia transfer of floral sprays within a mottled main body, height 17cm. Lot: 2 1851 The Great Exhibition; A collection of seven mid 19th century Staffordshire plates, each with relief moulded border and central transfer decorated scene relating to The Great Exhibition, two by J Moses, a small coloured plate by Meakin etc, various sizes (7). Lot: 3 1851 The Great Exhibition; A mid 19th century Pratt type plate with floral moulded border and central puce transfer depicting boy with Punchinello (purchased at Bonhams as part of the Sir Lincoln Hallinan of Cardiff Collection), also a similar blue and white decorated Carr & Co circular plate, a brown and white decorated plate depicting the Massacre of the Innocents, a fourth depicting Fidelity and a further Pratt type plate depicting a coloured view of the interior of Crystal Palace. Lot: 4 1851 The Great Exhibition; A mid 19th century Staffordshire Pratt type flask of ovoid form, the front decorated with a view of Crystal Palace with numerous figures and horse drawn cart in the foreground, transfer decorated with a floral spray, both vignettes beneath royal crests and within a mottled ground, height including cork 18cm. Lot: 5 1851 The Great Exhibition; A mid 19th century Staffordshire Pratt type plate with floral embossed border and central black and white transfer decorated scene, inscribed "Boy With Punchinello", another similar "Gratitude", a corn embossed plate "Boy With Punchinello", a small dish "The Unhappy Child", two blue and white transfer decorated plates depicting Crystal Palace, a black and white transfer decorated plate inscribed "Palais de la Reine", an embossed Staffordshire dish inscribed "Our Union Forever Centennial, Horticultural Hall 1876", two gilt heightened dishes with transfer scenes of the 1862 Exhibition buildings and two others (12). Lot: 6 1851 The Great Exhibition; A set of four mid 19th century Staffordshire Pratt type transfer decorated plates, each with floral embossed rim and puce engraved central panel inscribed "Massacre of Innocence", "Fidelity", "Gratuity" and "Boy With Broken Drum", diameter 19cm. Lot: 7 1851 The Great Exhibition; A set of six mid 19th century Staffordshire plates, each with floral embossed decorated borders and central transfer decorated scene, inscribed "Gratitude", two of "The Deliverer", "Massacre of the Innocents", "Boy with Broken Drum" and "Boy with Punchinello", diameter 20cm. Lot: 8 1851 The Great Exhibition; Two Pratt type Staffordshire pot lids, both inscribed for "The Exhibition of Art and Industry of All Nations", one depicting an interior view of the Grand International Building and the second depicting the exterior, both decorated in colour, diameter 13.75cm. Lot: 8A 1851 The Great Exhibition; A Pratt type pot lid decorated with a coloured view of Crystal Palace with figures in the foreground, in ebonised frame, with another similar inscribed "The Grand International Building of 1851, for The Exhibition of Art & Industry of All Nations", in ebonised frame, diameter 12cm and 13.5cm. Lot: 9 1851 The Great Exhibition; A mid 19th century porcelain mug inscribed "A View From The Road, Hyde Park Corner", retailed by Green of London, decorated with a black and white transferred vignette, three plates depicting scenes of Crystal Palace and a small circular trinket box with gilt heightened lid inscribed "Crystal Palace Exhibition 1851", various sizes (5). Lot: 10 1851 The Great Exhibition; A mid 19th century English porcelain cup and saucer, the cup decorated with a view on the road from Hyde Park Corner, within a gilt heightened cartouche with gilt bands to the rim and foot, the saucer with no indentation for the cup, decorated with interior view of the building with gilt heightened border, retailed by Green of London and bearing Victorian date cipher for 1851 to both pieces, diameter of saucer 15cm. An identical cup and saucer is located in the Victoria and Albert Museum. Lot: 11 1851 The Great Exhibition; A rare mid 19th century twin handled frog/lizard cup, the exterior transfer decorated with views of Crystal Palace and bearing gilt heightened initials MP, the interior set with a frog to one side and a lizard to the other, transfer mark to base, Crystal Palace T.Godwin, height 12.75cm (af). Lot: 12 1851 The Great Exhibition; A transfer decorated cup depicting a view of Crystal Palace and inscribed "A View on the Road from Hyde Park Corner", retailed by Green of London and with Victorian lozenge mark, a Pinder Bourne & Hope transfer decorated plate depicting a similar scene and a damaged gilt heightened pot lid inscribed "Crystal Palace Exhibition 1851" (3). 1 of 56

Lot: 13 1851 The Great Exhibition; Four mid 19th century Parian jugs by William Brownfield, one with gilt heightening and one on a blue ground, all decorated with four panels depicting Commerce, Music, Art and Science, impressed moulded marks to base with central lozenge, height 24cm, 21cm, 19cm and 18cm. pink ground transfer decorated beaker, a souvenir of Old Edinburgh transfer decorated cup, a circular transfer decorated porcelain coaster and a transfer decorated small cup (5). Lot: 21 1885 Edinburgh; Four inscribed circular plates, each centred with a view of Edinburgh, a shaped square sectioned plate and an oval shallow bowl. Lot: 14 1851 The Great Exhibition; Three mid 19th century blue and white transfer decorated jugs depicting the view of The Great Exhibition Palace, a similar black and white transfer decorated jug, two Staffordshire mugs with coloured decoration and two blue and white transfer decorated mugs showing the palace (8). Lot: 15 1851 The Great Exhibition; A quantity of ceramics relating to the Crystal Palace Exhibition including a Pratt type circular plate with moulded border, a blue and white transfer decorated food warming plate, blue and white transfer decorated bowl etc. Lot: 16 1851 The Great Exhibition; An embossed clay pipe depicting the palace by WT Blake and inscribed "London", length 19cm and a similarly decorated bowl of a pipe (stem broken) (2). Lot: 17 1851 The Great Exhibition; Attributed to Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin; a mid 19th century Minton Prossers patent square sectioned tile decorated in the Gothic Revival taste, in shades of blue, yellow, white, green and orange, purportedly exhibited in Pugins great stove, 13 x 13cm. Lot: 18 1862 London; A large quantity of ceramics relating to the Crystal Palace Exhibition including a puce transfer decorated mug, Continental pierced circular plate, various trinket dishes, commemoratives, vases etc. Lot: 19 1885 Edinburgh; A Deykin & Sons eclipse teapot stand, transfer decorated with a view of the exhibition with hot air balloon in the distance, a similarly decorated mug and a silk Stevengraph inscribed "A Present from Edinburgh International Exhibition" (3).
