RECENT HAPPENING AT ARMA September 2016 LARASATI AUCTION Larasati held regularly auction in Jakarta, Singapore and Bali. In Bali, they choose ARMA as a venue for the auction. The latest auction was on August 21st, 2016. Painting collector from Bali, Jakarta and overseas coming to attending this auction. Viewing start from August 19th, 2016, guest can see the art collection first before the auction starting. Many painting collection, from Balinese traditional until contemporary style was sold with good price. This auction is one of good place for artist to sale and promote the masterpiece with good price. 01
September 2016 GLOBAL HEALTH TRUE LEADERS 2016 Global Health True Leaders visited ARMA Museum and do the team building for the leadership. The participants coming from Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and ASEAN. The team building activity is Balinese dancing called janger. Janger is a group dance, so need good teamwork to do it. After do the team building, they got some coffee break at our Warung Kopi and hosting by ARMA owner Bapak Agung Rai. They really enjoyed the activity and the ambience of ARMA. 02
September 2016 UHA MEETING TABLE TOP UHA (Ubud Hotel Association) held meeting on August, 26th, 2016 at ARMA Thai Restaurant 2nd floor in order to UHA Table Top on November 25th, 2016. The Table Top will participate all of UHA members and will invite 40 travel agent domestic and overseas. To promote Ubud tourism to domestic and overseas market. 03
September 2016 KALANGAN Sanggar Delapan accompany with ARMA presenting dance workshop and performance in ARMA Water Garden and ARMA Open stage with title Kalangan. In Balinese Kalangan is a space to dance (stage). Traditionally, it doesn t always refer to a conventional space which only consist of a stage and facing to one direction to audience. Therefore Kalangan emphasizes in the roleplay and the space value to create an art performance. As a living museum and art foundation, ARMA always support talented young artist to have space to improve their creativity. Sanggar delapan with Gus Bang as a leader is a young talented dancer who create a modern dance harmony with traditional dance. The workshop for choreographers to understand the process of choregraphy and creating a dance, starts from recognizing one by one from basic ingredient of a creator of dance works, such as : space, time, performance, motion, events and audience which will be wrapped in an art performance and dance workshop. 04
MEET THE STAFF AT ARMA September 2016 IDA AYU WITARI Ida Ayu Witari (Right) and Misspalada Museum Guest from Thailand Bali known as Island of God, because almost everyday in Bali do offering ceremony event. ARMA do as well, everyday we present an offering in our temple and every single corner in ARMA. We have a special person to do that, we called it tukang banten. When you come to ARMA especially in the morning you will meet with women who use kebaya carrying offering, incense stick and holly water in a balinese traditional trays. The named of that women is Ida Ayu Witari, well known as Ibu Dayu. She joined with ARMA since August 2010 until now, she love to work in ARMA because of the bounding of the staff is like a family.
