All pieces are sewn with right sides tgether unless therwise ndicated. DRESS CONSTRUCTON: 1. Sew sleeves t dress frnt and becks at the arhles. 2. Sew tw rws f gathering stitches acrss the tp f the skirts and sleeves. 3. Accurately sew darts n the eyelet yke piece. SEE PATTERN. Refer t Skirt Frnt "B" 4. Sew eyelet yke t the gathered dress acrss the frnt ver the shulders and acrss the backs. 5. Outline the eyelet yke with 14" blue silk braid arund the uter edge. 6. Sew a 18" he n each sleeve. 7. Sew lace beading t each sleeve accrding t pattern. 8. Psitin the scallped edge f the eyelet lace even with the sleeve he pin n place. Then place the lwer edge f the lace beedlng ust ver the tp edge f the eyelet lace. Sew the beading and eyelet in place. 9. Sew the ar seas and drass side seas. 1. He dress. SEE PATTEBN. 11. Turn under and press center back dress facings. Hand tack n place at the tp and at the he. 12. Sew 2 snaps n the yke back and 4 snaps t the skirt back spacing the abut 2 112" apart. 13. Cut 2 pieces f 18" blue satin ribbn each 22" lng. Fld n half and ake a lp abut 1" tall. Tack t the dress yke. Hand stitch a sall pearl t the lp. SEE FLER. 14. Cut 2 lengths f 118" blue satin ribbn each 12" lng. Weave the ribbn thrugh the lace beading n each sleeve. Tie in a bw at the center f each sleeve and tri tails if necessary. PANUES CONSTRUCTON: (Waist Elastic 15") 15. Sew the center frnt and center back seas. 16. Turn skirt wrng side up and place the heading f 1 34" lat lace 118" fr the he edge (right side facing up). Sew the lace t the skirt then press lace dwn and 88a up n the right side f the skirt. 16. Using a sall stitch zigzag the btt edge f 112" lace beading t each leg. This will cver the he sea. SEE PATTERN 17. Butt ecru lace nsertin up t the lace beading and zigzag the tw lace edges t the panties. Zigzag the tp edge f the insertin t the panties. 18. Sew the leg inseas. 19. Turn under and sew the waist casing leaving an pening fr inserting 118" elastic. nsert elastic n casing ver lapping the elastic ends. S_ the ends tgether. Clse the casing pening with a achine stitch. 2. Weave 18" f 14" satin ribbn in the lace beeding n each leg. ne n a bw at the side f each leg. This pattern cntains 9 pieces. The nly ther tie use Watersilks #2 is after washing y brush. dip y clean brush int Watersilks #2 the blt. This is re t get the water ut f y brush than it is t add ediu. When ixing tw clrs f paint. always ix each clr separately then pull a sall aunt f ne clr int the ther clr; then ix cpletely. Unless therwise stated ix paints t the cnsistency f tthpaste. When refer t Antiquing a piece that eans putting clr in the creases f lw pints f the piece(le.: behind the knees in the bend f the ar between the fingers & tes etc.). On a head. Antiquing wuld be dne under the chin behind the ears in the ears arund the nse in the space between the nse and the upper lip. and in each nstril etc. When blush put paint n the high pints n the piece (i.e.: the knees the back f the hands. the elbws the knuckles. etc.). On the head blush the cheeks frehead and hairline etc. Clean Greenware as usual beveling the eyes t the prper size. FRE TO A TRUE CONE 6 1. Cat head sip ars and legs with Watersilks #2. Wipe back with T-Shirt aterial until there is a sft sheen. 2. Mix the Antiquing clr with Watersilks #2. Paint the fingernails & tenails with the antique clr then blt s just a hint f clr is n the nail bed. Apply and sth ut the antique clr in the creases f the sip ars and legs. Use a china p t even ut the clr. -Reeber- Antiquing is always dne in the lw pints f a piece. 3. Mix the eyelid clr with Watersilks #2. Apply the eyelid clr and even ut using a csetic Q-tip. Apply the lip crease clr in the crease f the uth. With a square shader pull the clr ut just a little and ake several lip lines n the lips. This clr is nt dne heavy. Apply the Antiquing t the head. Use china p t even ut clr. FRE HEAD SP ARMS LEGS TO A TRUE CONE 18. 4. Cat entire ead with Watersilks #2. Wipe back with T-Shirt aterial until there is a sft sheen. 5. Mix eyelash clr with Watersilks #1. Apply lwer lashes that are shrt straight and clse tgether. They shuld nt be heavy. 6. Mix eyebrw clr with Watersilks #1. Brush in single hairs f brws. The eyebrws shuld lk natural avid lng and heavy strkes. Children's brws shuld nt be perfect. 7. Mix the lip clr with Watersilks #2. Paint the lips aking sure yu g t and fllw the lip line. Sften the uter lip with a Q-tip. Be sure there is n harsh line f paint left n the lip line. FRE TO A TRUE CONE 18. 8. Cat head sip ars and legs with Watersilks #2. Wipe back with T-Shirt aterial t a sft sheen. 9. Mix nail clr with Watersilks #2. Paint a nail tip and a ' half n' (half n is at the base f each nail) n each finger and tenail. This shuld be dne very light. Yu ay want just a hint f clr t lk natural. 1. l1ix blush clr with Watersilks #2. Using yur frefinger apply the blush clr t cheeks chin teple frehead hairline knuckles. knees tes etc. Even ut the clr with a china p. -Reinder- When blushing always put paint n the high pints. When yu are satisfied with the clr intensity FRE TO A TRUE CONE 18. 11. Cat head with Watersilks #2. Wipe back with T-Shirt aterial. 12. With the eyebrw clr take a Q-tip and scrub the clr n tp f the fired brws. Use a clean Q-tip and sften the clr until it appears like a light shadw under the brw hairs. With the eyelash clr. shade ver the lwer lashes the sae way; sftening ut the clr at the lwer edge away fr the eye pening. f there is a secnd clr n the eyelid nw is the tie t apply it. Be sure t stay away fr the eyebrw clr yu just applied. 13. Mix the lip accent clr with Watersilks #2. Accent the fullest part f the center f the lwer lip. Accent the fullest part f the upper lip (the ilk lip). Ding this akes a "ht spt" f clr n the lips. 14. Mix the cheek accent clr with Watersilks #2. Blush the tp half f the already blushed cheek area with the cheek accent clr. Applying this clr akes a ' ht spt' f clr n the cheeks. FRE TO A TRUE CONE 18 15. With the eyebrweyelash clr paint accent hairs n the brws and the lwer lashes. Accent hairs are extra hairs t fill in r put n "tp' f shading dne in Step 12. 16. f the head has teeth (and yu are painting the with china paint) ix teeth clr with Watersilks #2 and paint the teeth. Be sure yu dn't get any f this clr n the lips. 17. Check the clr intensity n all f yur pieces. f yu need re clr anywhere nw is the tie t intensify yur clrs. f yu are cpletely satisfied with yur wrk FRE TO A TRUE CONE 18. 18. The final step is t apply a ne>-fire sealer n the lips and teeth. The sealer shuld be thinned with water t cut the glss sewhat. Nte: This sealer can be reved with alchl when it is cpletely dry.
