Warnings Make sure your foundation, concealer, and powder match your skin tone. Ask an employee at your local drug store or Sephora for help if needed. Make sure you have enough brushes before you start; blending is very important! Remember to clean your brushes before you start. Dirty brushes will not create a good result. This is not a tutorial for children, as it involves expensive products. How To Steps Face 1. Start out by cleansing your face with water and dry it on a towel. 2. Use a moisturiser to make your skin ready for the make- up. 3. Apply a pea size amount of face primer and blend it into your skin. 4. Let your primer soak into your skin by waiting for a few minutes. 5. Take a Beauty Blender and pour a small amount of water on it. 6. Put a squeeze of foundation on your hand; I am using Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. 7. Using the Beauty Blender apply the foundation to your face and blend it completely. 8. Take an under eye concealer and apply your desired amount under your eyes in a triangle shape. Note: I am using a Rimmel Concealer 9. Blend the concealer into your skin using the same Beauty Blender. 10. Use the same concealer to apply on any spots or blemishes that might need covering. Note: For extra coverage use Mac Studio Finish Concealer on spots. 11. Make sure everything is nicely blended into your skin. 12. Take a powder brush and the Rimmel Powder and apply the powder onto your face. 13. Using a contour brush take a Benefit Hoola Bronzer and apply it to the hollows of your cheeks. Note: I like to suck in my cheeks when doing this step; it makes it easier to see where the bronzer should be applied. 14. Blend the bronzer thoroughly using a blending brush. 15. Take a blush and a blush brush. 16. Apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks using the brush. Note: I recommend Mac s blush called Style. It goes perfect with this look. 17. Blend everything on your face using a large clean powder brush. 18. Moving on to eyebrows: take an Anastasia eyebrow pencil and gently fill in your brow. 19. Follow up with the Maybeline brow gel to finish them of. Note: Continue to play around with it until you are satisfied. Then you are ready to move on to eyes. Figur 4: Anatasia Brow Wiz 4
Eyes Figure 5: Urban Decay Naked Palette 1. To start of your eye look you have to grab a Naked 2 Palette and a clean eye shadow brush. Note: I use the brush that comes with the palette, but you are welcome to use any brush of your choice. 2. Start off with putting the colour Tease all over your top eyelid as a base. 3. Blend the eye shadow in completely using a clean brush. 4. Put a small amount of the colour Snakebite on a brush and gently apply it to the outer corner of your eye. 5. Form a triangle shape with the eye shadow at the outer corner off your eye. 6. Using a clean brush blend the eye shadow until you are satisfied with the result. 7. Apply the colour YDK to the middle part of your eyelid using another clean brush. 8. Use a clean brush to blend the eye shadows until you get a smooth finish. 9. Use the colour Foxy to highlight the inner corners of your eye, by dapping a brush with the shadow on the spot by your waterline. 10. Using the same colour apply it the your brow bone as a highlighter. 5
11. To finish off your eye shadow use the colour Busted to line your eyes. Apply the colour under your eye. Note: Be careful with the colour, as it can easily look very intense. So apply your desired amount. Note: For an even more dramatic look use the colour Blackout. 12. Before you move on to eyeliner, take a clean blending blush and blend the eye shadows on your eyelids until you are satisfied with the look. 13. Grab an eyeliner and do a cat line on top of your eyelid. 14. Do this by carefully drawing a straight line as close to your eye lashes as possible. 15. Decide how far you want your flick to be. The longer the flick, the more dramatic look. 16. Carefully line the outer line of your flick. 17. Fill out your flick completely using the eyeliner. 18. Let the eyeliner dry completely before moving on to the next step. 19. Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. 20. Apply TwoFaced Better Than Sex Mascara to both your top and bottom lashes. Note: I like to apply a thick layer of mascara to create a dramatic look. Figure 6: Too Faced Mascara 6
Lips 1. Take a Revlon Lip Stain. Note: You can use any colour that you desire. 2. Apply the lip product on your lips. 3. Check for any spills or mistakes and remove those using a Q- tip.
