About the Course Rejuvenation of the Aging Face 2008 The Educational and Research Foundation for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive (AAFPRS Foundation) presents this unique course which will showcase the knowledge and expertise of experienced surgeons from the specialties of facial plastic surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, and dermatology. Trend setting techniques in eyelid surgery, brow, forehead, and face lifting, laser resurfacing, rhinoplasty, implants and fillers will be addressed. Edited surgical videos will be incorporated throughout the course. A live demonstration of different fillers and a cadaver lab will take place as well. Target Audience The course is offered for continuing medical education of medical students, residents, fellows, and practicing physicians (MDs and DOs) in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The program is for physicians with all levels of experience and covers aesthetic, reconstructive, and congenital issues relevant to this specialty. Learning Objectives At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to: E Understand the relevant factors involved in patient selection for facial rejuvenation surgery; E Discuss the various techniques available for facial rejuvenation; E Contrast traditional lifting and contemporary filling methods for rejuvenating the brow, eyelids, midcheek, face and neck; E Differentiate between the various injectable filler and neurolytic materials and their applications; and E Be aware of complication avoidance and treatment related to facial rejuvenation surgery.
