THE ALOE VERA PROCESS The Aloe vera is cultivated during 4 years. Then it is carefully collected. Each leaf is brushed and submitted to water-pressure to be cleansed and disinfected.
THE ALOE VERA PROCESS All leaves are cut from the top and the base. (The leaf debris resulting from this process is then used to fertilize the soil of the plantations). The machine itself grinds the resulting pulp juice in its raw state. The juice will not yet be filtered and is sent to a tank through a coil which lowers its temperature. Preservatives to avoid oxidation are added to the unfiltered juice. Following that, enzymes that collaborate to efficiently perform the filtration process of Aloe vera are added. The Aloe vera juice obtained in the previous phase is filtered, getting a suitable texture for its use.
THE ALOE VERA PROCESS Cold stabilization of Aloe vera juice - at this stage, the latter part of preservatives and antioxidants are stirred into the tank. Quality Control: two small samples of Aloe juice are taken: one is used for ph and density controls, the other is sent to an external laboratory, where extensive microbiological tests are conducted.

WHY CANARIAN ALOE VERA? The vast majority of Aloe vera brands on the market, and paradoxically also in the Canarian market, use Aloe vera of Mexican or North American origin. This in itself would not be anything bad, if it wasn t for the Aloe vera going through a transformation process (Liophilization process) that reduces it to concentrated powder, which is much easier (and cheaper) to transport, but with less capacity to retain the properties Aloe vera. Canarian Aloe vera does not go through a Liophilization process (transformation process that reduces it to concentrated powder) like most of the Aloe vera coming from other parts of the world. By keeping it in it s fresh juice form, the Aloe vera retains its natural properties much better. The plantation uses a system of ecological cultivation, which means that no plot undergoes chemical treatment, nor are pesticides or artificial fertilizers used.
