KITIGAN ZIBI YOUTH & SPORTS GOLF TOURNAMENT 2011 Once again the Kitigan Zibi Youth & Sports Golf Tournament with special guest John Chabot was a success. Money made at this year s Golf Tournament will to be used to create new unique sporting opportunities for the Youth of Kitigan Zibi. This year s revenues will be used to support the KITIGAN ZIBI CANOE CLUB as well as help to assist with financial support the newly created Sports Camp for Kitigan Zibi youth. HOW THE REVENUES HAVE BEEN USED: Revenues raised from this charity golf tournament in the past four years has helped with the purchase thirteen (13) recreational kayaks of various sizes, four (4) recreational canoes, three (3) competitive sprint kayaks, paddles and containment unit on site at Wanaki Beach. It is our hope with the finances raised this year we can put towards the purchase of new Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP) as well as to assist with paddling programming within the Kitigan Zibi Community.
