WELCOME TO GRAZ! Dear colleagues, dear friends and guests, It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you to Graz at the 9 th International Congress of the European Society for Laser Aesthetic Surgery from June 22 nd to 24 th, 2006. At this congress we expect delegates from all European countries to meet and exchange experiences with other international colleagues. Speakers from different fields of laser surgery will give plenary lectures. The scientific program should attract young doctors and scientists in training as well as established researchers. A wide range of subjects will be covered and the plenary lectures are aimed at giving overviews and updates on recent research and clinical applications. During the congress a trade exhibition will take place, where the main companies working in the field of laser surgery will participate. Graz is indeed a striking beauty and is well known to bring long lasting and exciting nights. Selfconfidently, the city presents itself and its visitors with new, fascinating landmarks and historic monuments, among them entire parts of the city, such as the Old Town, ennobled and protected as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. The city s lifeline is the Mur river, which provides the city with a gentle and tranquil rhythm. But Graz is above all a melting pot of cultures. Since centuries this Cultural Capital is influenced by musicians, poets, architects and designers. We will be doing our best to make your stay here comfortable so that you can take along lots of happy and lasting memories with you. Looking forward to seeing and to cordially welcoming you in Graz!
