TWISTED There was something about the ocean that intrigued us. It s so beautiful, so powerful, and it has an untapped innocence. But when we started to think beyond the surface, it became much more. We started to ask ourselves what might be down there. All this plant life, all of these creatures living and thriving, with this uncanny ability to stay strong and agile what could we learn from that, and how might we apply that to hair? The deeper we went, the closer we got to this life at the bottom of the ocean, and the more fascinating it proved to be. It gave us so many ideas for the shapes we could create with the hair, how we could work with wet and dry hair, and how we could bring this elastic flexibility to life. You ll see how, when we work with the new tools and the Flexi Alg Complex, these beautiful, fluid and organic shapes come bursting to life. In the hidden depths of the oceans, underwater plants such as red seaweed evolved and developed a unique mechanism to flexibly follow the waves of the oceans. One of them: the red seaweed. EMERGE First prep hair with TWISTED ELASTIC CLEANSER and TWISTED ELASTIC DETANGLER. Apply TWISTED CURL LIFTER FOAM to damp hair and then blow-dry through with a comb. Define the fringe and sides using SHAPER ZERO GRAVITY, creating space using the tail of the comb. Control the back layer by layer using SHAPER ZERO GRAVITY, then wet the whole look and rewave using TWISTED CURL REVIVER SPRAY.

1. Prep hair with TWISTED ELASTIC CLEANSER and TWISTED ELASTIC DETANGLER. Apply TWISTED CURL MAGNIFIER CREAM to damp hair and create an irregular, rounded freehand section from the corners of the eye down to the lower occipital. INCEP- TION 2. With a blade, cut sections using the Pinch Cutting* technique to create an irregular perimeter around the back. Then drop the hair into a natural fall and cut the fringe using the same technique than before. 4. Create spaces in the fringe using the Slice Cutting* technique, apply the TWISTED CURL REVIVER SPRAY and work in with the diffuser. 3. Take a section from the top and use the Twist and Cut* technique with scissors to create open spaces around the head from the fringe. This will create a guideline. Continue from the same line using the same technique between the top and perimeter lines. 5. To create the look, apply SHAPER ZERO GRAVITY to create definition and separation where desired. *Pinch Cutting: To create perimeters with soft and textured movement. Hold the blade between thumb and index finger (like a pen), and pinch pieces together to create the perimeter. *Twist and Cut: To create internal texture and boost waves and curls Twist small sections and cut with the interior of your shears. *Slide Cutting: Removes weight and softens ends to increase movement and separation. Glide your shears along the hair shaft in a curved motion.

SURGE First prep hair with TWISTED ELASTIC CLEANSER and TWISTED ELASTIC DETANGLER. On damp hair, apply TWISTED CURL LIFTER FOAM, and work it in with the diffuser. Apply more foam where needed for more curl definition and use TWISTED CURL REVIVER SPRAY to finish the look, in combination with DRYNAMIC + to amplify the final look.

CURRENT First, prep the hair with TWISTED ELASTIC CLEANSER, TWISTED ELASTIC TREATMENT and TWISTED CURL MAGINIFIER CREAM. Then, for the cut, section off the middle of the head starting at the corner of the eye and going down to the occipital. Use the Twist and Cut* technique next on each section, moving away from the face. Repeat the same technique to create concentric layers. Finish with the TWISTED CURL LIFTER FOAM, worked in with the diffuser. *Twist and Cut: To create internal texture and boost waves and curls, twist small sections and cut with the interior of your shears.

UNDER- TOW First, prep hair with TWISTED ELASTIC CLEANSER and TWISTED ELASTIC TREATMENT. Apply TWISTED CURL LIFTER FOAM in layers throughout the hair, worked in with the diffuser, and restyle as desired.

TWISTED BY TOOLS

DRIFT 1. To prep the look, use TWISTED ELASTIC CLEANSER and TWISTED ELASTIC DETANGLER. Then apply DARK OIL and TWISTED CURL MAGNIFIER CREAM to damp hair and comb through. Blow dry starting at the roots, directing and polishing the hair with a round brush. 2. Use a conical iron to create soft waves using the Wave Pressing* technique. Work in horizontal sections, using SHAPER ZERO GRAVITY to bring the final touch to each section. *Wave Pressing: Using the conical iron in an unconventional way pushing the hair from the underneath and on the top to form inverted waves.

TIDAL Prep the hair with TWISTED ELASTIC CLEANSER and TWISTED ELASTIC DETANGLER. Use TWISTED CURL REVIVER SPRAY on damp hair and blow-dry using a large round brush to create curls; work section by section down to the lower crown to create texture and waves. Take a vertical section and use the Back Iron* technique then back comb the roots and sides, using the hands to create space and pinching the hair to maintain the flatness of the top. Fix the look with RE-SHAPER. *Back Iron: Wrap on loop of hair around the flat iron and do back handed movement to create large unstructured curls in the middle lengths.

ABYSS Prep hair with TWISTED ELASTIC CLEANSER and TWISTED ELASTIC DETANGLER. Then apply TWISTED CURL LIFTER FOAM and work in with the diffuser, applying more foam when needed for a better curl definition. Add the TWISTED CURL REVIVER SPRAY to create even more definition or refine curls where necessary. Use the conical iron to create curls, pinning and applying SHAPER ZERO GRAVITY to fix followed by DRYNAMIC + to enhance texture. Open each curl individually and backcomb the roots, fixing with SHAPER ZERO GRAVITY.
