Category: Anti Aging Products Subcategory: Anti-Aging Make Up Tips Tip: A Quck Fix Unfortunately, we can't choose the times when our skin will and won't break out and we sometimes end up with breakouts in the worst of times. However, here's a little secret that can help get you through a disastrous breakout: The key to hiding blemishes is to neutralize the redness. Try this: Soak a Q-tip in Visine and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes (it's also a good idea to keep pre-frozen ones at hand for an emergency). Hold the tip of the Q-tip up to the blemish for a few moments to alleviate the area. The Visine will help to constrict the blood vessels and reduce redness while the cold will relieve the puffiness. To finish the job, apply a yellow-toned concealer with a fine brush to the blemish to mask it. You also can help prevent clogged pores and breakouts by regularly using masks on a monthly basis. Always follow with a good moisturizer. Tip: Youngblood Troubleshooting While cosmetics are great products, there is a chance that you will occasionally run into some minor application problems. Here are some common problems and some great solutions: Problem: If the makeup appears mask-like, chalky, or too thick, you've over-applied, the color is too light, or you've used the wrong application tool. Solution: Mix two shades together, or put thick layer of moisturizer on before applying makeup so it blends better. Category: Applying Makeup Subcategory: Applying Makeup Tip: How Young is Too Young? Your Child and Makeup Most children find themselves wanting to use makeup because they have seen someone else use it or because of peer pressure. It is important that parents do not shut down immediately and forbid it as children will find ways around harsh rules. It is far better to understand what products and applications are best for younger children and help them through it rather than forbidding it and coming up against dire consequences. There are some forms of makeup that are alright for children to use, using products that are intended for adults is not the best option but there are tons of brands out there that offer kid friendly products to help ease any child through the

beginning stages of makeup. The first product that is perhaps the easiest to let your child wear is something like a tinted lip balm or a lip gloss. This is not quite as harsh as say blue eyeshadow but it still gives the feeling of being a bit more grown up without going overboard. There are tons of great brands like lip smackers, bonne bell, and more that offer tinted balms for the budding adult. It is best with children that if you do let them use makeup you avoid giving them colors that are going to be too intense, try giving them palettes of whites and pastels to play with and experiment with rather than bright blues and blacks. If you are uncomfortable with your child wearing makeup in public, as most parents are, let them play with it at home and get the desire out of their system rather than cracking down on even fun play at home. Category: Applying Makeup Tips Subcategory: Applying Makeup Tips Tip: Easy Makeup Mistake Fixes For most wearers of makeup, a mistake can signal the end of a look and a need for total reapplication. Though the first instinct upon smudging your mascara or adding too much blush is to wipe the slate clean and begin again, there are a few tricks you can use to try and salvage your look before you start over. The first and most common mistake that many makeup wearers make is too much blush or other face color. While the initial application may leave you looking like Bobo the clown, with some blending you can fix it. Try using your foundation brush with the foundation that is already on it to blend out the excess color and mute it a bit. The key to fixing this mistake is blending, the more you blend the easier the excess product will fade into the foundation making it a subtle pop of color that you intended. The second mistake that does not signal the end of a makeup is smudged eyeliner. While it would seem logical to wipe that eye clean and start over, it is not wholly necessary. Try thickening the line that you were drawing to hide the mistake. Sometimes a thicker line can help to lift the eye and give interest to a makeup. If a thicker line is simply not for you, try pressing some black eyeshadow over the line and pull up slightly, this will create a smoky effect that will help to hide any imperfections. The last mistake that is commonly made is using the wrong color lip pencil or lipstick with the gloss or stick that you have chosen. While choosing something that is several shades wrong as opposed to say just a bit wrong is almost always grounds for a do over, using a shade that is one or two shades lighter or darker is not a disaster. Try applying some of the pencil or stick to the outer corers of your mouth then put the other color over top; this will create a graduated effect that will help make the change seamless. Also, make sure you blend well. Category: Bath Products

Subcategory: Bath Products Tip: Types of Bath Products Bath and Shower Gels These products normally come in a tube form and are applied directly to the skin or with a bath sponge. Body and shower gels both clean and moisturize the skin in one convenient product. Body Scrubs Body scrubs exfoliate the skin using salt or sugar (usually mixed with oil) to slough away dead skin cells. Using a body scrub regularly will improve the appearance of your skin, as well as stimulate circulation. Bath Salts Bath salts are crystals which are added to the bath water. These scented crystals relieve tired, aching muscles and their aromas can relax both your mind and body. Soaps and Cleansers Soaps and cleansers clean your skin, leaving it feeling and looking healthy. Look for bath soaps and cleansers made from all natural ingredients without harsh chemicals. MOR Gelato Body Wash is a cleanser which utilizes all natural ingredients to gently and safely exfoliate and cleanse your skin. You can get MOR and countless other bath products at Makeup.com. Category: Bridal Makeup Subcategory: Bridal Makeup Tips Tip: Mother of the Bride Makeup When you hire a makeup artist to do you own makeup, it's a good idea to have them do your own mother's makeup, too. Having a makeup artist do your mom's makeup will also help to solve the issue of any makeup faux paux's she might be making. Say you don't love that bright, coral lipstick your mother wears all the time. A great makeup artist will be able to subtly guide her into another, more flattering direction! Tip: Wedding Makeup Makeup for a fall wedding should have bold lips and sultry, sexy eyes. If you have dark eyes, smoky plums on the eyes as well as a deep plum stain on the lips and an added pink frosted lip gloss on top will look just great for photos on your special day. Category: Celebrity Makeup and Beauty Subcategory: Celebrity Makeup Secrets Tip: Celebrity Skin Wellness Celebrities can afford to have top estheticians and dermatologists tending to their skin.

Anyone with the right skin care routine can have a beautiful complexion. You have to remember that any makeup is only going to look as good as your skin does. Makeup on top of skin that isn't cared for correctly is going to fall into pores, lines, and build up on dry skin. Get your skin in peak condition by using the right cleanser for your skin type. Cleanse twice a day. Moisturizer containing an SPF for day will help protect your skin for the future. To get rid of dead skin cells and maintain a clearer, brighter complexion, you need to exfoliate. This will help you prep your skin for your makeup. Exfoliate no more than three times a week because any more than that just strips away your skin. If you can see a skincare specialist like Hollywood's Best Kept Secret, Kate Somerville, do it. She has a world-renowned medi-skin clinic in Los Angeles, and takes time to analyze each client's unique skin care needs in the hopes of achieving total skin wellness. Category: Choosing Makeup Subcategory: Match Your Makeup With Your Style Tip: Transgender Beauty Everyone deserves to feel beautiful, and no one understands that more than Veronica Vera who in 1992 founded her Miss Vera's Finishing School for Boys Who Want to Be Girls. This academy in New York City offers courses specifically in makeup application and style including subjects like beard cover and false eye lashes. For someone undergoing the transformation, feeling beautiful is key. A couple of tips to keep in mind: A close shave is easier to get with a traditional razor blade such as Gillette's MACH 3 ($9) which has a triple blade system, rather than an electric shaver. This will provide your face with the smoothest surface possible with less irritation for your makeup. Full coverage foundation is your friend. This will help to even out the skin tone and provide a proper base for color application. Miss Vera believes that, in putting the clothes in the closet and letting the girl out, we can help you to be a happier, healthier and more loving human being. Category: Concealers Subcategory: Concealers Tip: Best concealer makeup The best concealer makeup for a person is very individual to each person. If you are only balancing skin tone and you do not have a lot of blemishes, scars or major discoloration in your skin, you are going to want a thin water based or liquid concealer

make up. If you have one or more scars which you would like to banish from sight you are going to want a scar concealer. Scar concealers are usually not real heavy but may be of a cake consistency if this is the type of concealer you would prefer or need you will want to use the feather technique to apply and cover your scar. When applying concealer to a scared area you will look at tone, texture and size of the scar. For a scared area which has a bit of a raised area you may want a couple different concealer shades. You would apply the lighter shade concealer to the darker area of the scar and blend until the darker area is now the lighter area. Next you will want to your normal concealer shade on the scared area and feather to blend it into your other facial skin tones. You will need to practice this technique until you get the proper depth perception, contrast and concealed appearance you are looking for. Each scar is different and may need to be worked with until you have a less apparent appearance of the scared area. Category: Creams & Moisturizers Subcategory: Creams & Moisturizers Tip: Love Yourself with Ahava Ahava is Hebrew for love, and you should love yourself enough to invest in fantastic Ahava products like Body Mud. It will do wonders for the skin, leaving it feeling fresh and rejuvenated. It should only be used in moderation, however, because if you use it too frequently it can cause the skin to dry. There are many other mud treatments available but there is something special about this specific mud that comes from the Dead Sea which is well-known for it's healing minerals. It is the lowest point on earth and so packed full of healing salts that no life can survive in it this should give you a better idea of its effectiveness. *Body Mud is very therapeutic and effective but be careful with it, it can sting sensitive areas (like those close to the eyes). Category: Diva! Makeup Skills Subcategory: Diva! Makeup Skills Tip: Red Lipstick is True Glamour There is something about red lipstick that just screams glamour! A truly red lipstick has the power within a single tube to transform your entire face, but you need confidence to carry off a red lipstick. Throughout history, red lips have been a symbol of beauty. From early Egyptian days when Cleopatra would paint hers red with henna, to screen legends like Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe, whom people still copy for their famous lips. And if you thikn you can't wear red, think again -- there is a perfect red out there for everyone. You need to want to wear red. Don't fear the color red, embrace it!

Category: Eye Makeup Ideas Subcategory: Eye Makeup Ideas Tip: Celebrity Makeup Celebrity makeup is more dramatic and applied heavier than everyday makeup. To achieve this look, wear foundation, blusher, lipstick, lipgloss. For eyemakeup, wear more than one eyeshadow and apply eyeliner. Try this look for evening and see how you can look like a celeb too. Category: Eye Shadow Subcategory: Eye Shadow Tip: Choosing an eyeshadow for fair-skinned blondes There is no certain color that is specifically made for fair-skinned blondes, but there are some colors that may look better than others. Today it is pretty much "anything goes" as far as make up and color combinations. In the past they would tell you what season you were and what colors you should wear. Now most women like their make up to match their clothing somewhat. Use light shades like pastels or neutral colored hue's with a pink/purple undertone. Never use dark dramatic colors without playing around with the look first. Tip: Eye Shadow for Green Eyes When choosing eye makeup for green eyes, you should consider your skin tone as well as your eye color. Many women with green eyes have fair skin and freckles. If you have a light complexion, try to avoid eye shadow that is too deep or shimmery. However, some women with green eyes have olive skin. These women should avoid silver and blue shadows. All women with green eyes look great in brown colors from light beiges to deep chocolate browns. Purples and pinks also complement with green eyes. Some people will suggest that you shouldn't wear green shadow if you have green eyes. However, light green can be very flattering when applied sparingly. As with all eye colors, green-eyed women should apply an eye shadow primer over the entire lid before they begin. Choose three coordinating shades in the same color family. Apply the deepest color in the crease, the lightest color on the brow bone and the medium shade on the lid. If you aren't using green shadow, lining your bottom lashes with an emerald green pencil makes for a nice evening look. In the daytime, keep it simple. After applying your eye shadow, just a simple coat of dark brown mascara will do. Finish your

look by applying a rosy cheek and lip color. Tip: Give Life to Brown Eyes Whether your brown eyes are the color of fine grains of sand or deep mahogany, it takes certain hues to emphasize them. To draw attention to brown eyes try blue tones; these shades will accentuate the various shades of brown eyes. Try not to buy shades that look like something you had in the 80's! Lighter shades give better results. Darker shades should be used in the crease of the eye and blended outward. Shadows that display shimmery textures work best. To apply, start from the lash lines and blend up to the brow bones. Use a light color under browbone as a highlighter. Use a navy eyeliner to pop brown eyes and black mascara. Looks great every time. Tip: Make Bright Eye Shadow Last All Day For a fabulous fun look, use bright eye shadow colors. The trick to this look is keeping it from fading or creasing throughout the day. There are several things you can do to help your bright eye shadow stay put. Don't skip the primer. Eye shadow primer provides a smooth canvas for your eye shadow. Using a primer will help your eye shadow stay in place and not crease or appear cakey. Apply a light coat of primer from your lash line to your brow bone. Add a light dusting of sheer powder over the primer. Apply shadow with a brush. A brush will give you control when applying pigments. Use a small, fine brush made especially for eye shadow. If you want your color to appear deeper, dip the brush in water before adding the shadow. Use both cream and powder. Eye shadow comes in both cream and powder form. To help your bright eye shadow color last all day, try matching colors in both cream and powder formulas. Apply the cream in a thin layer (to avoid creases later in the day) over the entire lid. Follow by applying your powder shadow as usual. Category: Feel Beautiful Subcategory: Feel Beautiful Tip: Look your best in photographs If you want to wear your glass in the photo make sure the photographer angles the lens so you won't get a glare. The trick to making your nose look smaller is shading. Apply your foundation and your powder as usual. If you are getting your picture taken then you will want to use a "photo friendly" formula of foundation. Try Enlighten or Equalizer by Estee Lauder. These foundations are great for photographs they reflect the light so you won't look "washed out" or pale. Brush a slightly darker shade of powder or use a bronzer over the bridge of your nose. Brush it over the areas that you think are too big. Darker colors make things look smaller. You want to make sure it is not too dark

because you still want your make up to look natural. When straightening your hair you want to condition it well before starting the straightening process. Use a wide bristled brush and put your blow drier on medium and gently brush your hair as you dry it. If you find that you hair is starting to frizz then finish drying it and apply an anti-frizzing agent or hair balm. To make your hair perfectly straight use a flat iron or run a curling iron down your hair and straighten the hair in sections. Use a finishing spray to keep the hair in place and it should be ready for a perfect photo experience. Tip: Men Like to Feel Spoiled Too! Who says that men don't like to be pampered? Guess what, when you're looking for the perfect gift for a special man in your life you don't have to venture into the sporting goods section. That's right believe it or not but men can enjoy other things besides a round of golf or NFL Sunday. Just like any lady, a man will need to take steps to upkeep his personal hygiene. The difference is, however, that a man is less likely to spend the time or the money buying indulgent beauty products that a woman would. And, for this very reason, male beauty products make phenomenal gifts. Here are some fantastic gift ideas for a special man: A higher-end shaving kit with a great lotion and aftershave, Indulgent body scrubs and washes, A magnificent facial cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, A complete travel kit, A massage,a gift certificate to a great salon. Remember, just because he wouldn't be caught dead buying it for himself doesn't mean that he won't absolutely adore that pampering! If you live with him and he doesn't want pampering gifts, put what you want him to smell like in the shower and guarantee he'll use it, instead of using yours! Tip: Please Those Teenagers with Ease Teenagers can be difficult to buy presents for especially teenage girls. There's no telling what's in these days so, unless you're given a specific list, it can be darn near impossible to pick out something cool. And, don't even think about picking out clothes, trends change on a dime these days and it's more probable that your selection will be found under the bed than on that girl's back. Looking for some safe gift selections? Here are some good ideas: You can never go wrong with gift certificates. Take note of her favorite stores and buy her a gift card. If you're unsure about which stores she likes, buy her a mall gift certificate that she can use in all of the stores. Movie and restaurant gift certificates are also good picks. Bath and body products are always winners. Pick out some great-smelling washes or scrubs, or maybe even some facial products. What about a makeover? Have a professional makeup artist at any cosmetic counter show that girl how to get just the right look! She'll also learn how to apply makeup and how important skin care is. Category: Foundation & Bronzers

Subcategory: Foundation & Bronzers Tip: Loose vs. Pressed Powder Loose powder is used in the morning to set the makeup.use only in the T zone unless your skin is oily all over. It is best to let the cheeks look moist. Pressed powder is used during the day to touch up. The added benefit in a compact is that it contains a mirror which is handy in applying lipstick. Tip: Make Face Appear Thinner Use contouring to make your face appear thinner. Apply your blush below your cheekbone. You can also apply a bronzing powder on either side of your throat to extend the lines of your neck. Tip: Make up that makes you shine There are several products on the market that can add, "shimmer" to your look. Many eye shadows contain glitter and other additives that add a "shimmer" or "glow" to your eyes. There are cosmetic lines that make face powder with an extra "sparkle" to it. You can buy body powders that have some pizzazz. Try a bronzer with sparkles and a matte bronzer and compare the difference. Shimmer is in ladies! The Body Shop sells a product called "skin focus face illuminator" that is supposed to make your skin shine. They also sell "shimmer cubes" which are an eye shadow that adds shine to your eyes and literally changes the color of eyeshadow. Estee Lauder sells a product called Spotlight that reflects the light off of the imperfections in your skin and give your face a healthy glow. NYX Cosmetics has shimmering powders, eye shadows and blushers. Try searching for these types of products next time you are at the cosmetic counters and you are sure to find something to give your skin and face the "shimmering glow" that you desire. Tip: Powder Over Bronzing Gel If you are wearing a bronzing liquid or gel, you can go solo or add a face powder. The powder will give you a smooth finish. Be sure to choose a color that compliments your skin tone. Use a deeper tone if you are tanned. Apply the bronzing gel, then a blusher, perhaps in the form of a bronzing powder, then use a face powder with a big powder brush. This will blend the edges of your blusher also. Tip: World's Best Blush Trick Jeni Lee, the makeup artist who keeps stars like Salma Hayek and Denise Richards flawlessy flushed, gives these tips for getting the most natural glow. 1. Start by looking straight into the mirror and placing your finger on your cheek bone right under the outer

edge of your eye's iris. That's where you should begin applying color. 2. On that spot, place a large, soft brush dipped in a blush that's slightly darker than your skin tone - like the flush you get if you pinch your cheeks - for the most true-to-you effect. 3. Sweep color straight back -not up- toward ear. Category: Grooming Products for Men Subcategory: Products for Men Tip: Get Rid of Post-Shave Stubble Ahh, the look and feel of a clean, fresh shave but wait, what's that? Stubble?! If you always look like you still have a five o'clock shadow right after you shave you're not alone. Never being able to achieve a smooth shave is annoying yet not uncommon. Here are some great tips to help you attain that baby-smooth feel: Shave right after you shower so that the skin and hair are soft and pores will be open for easier shave. Shave with the grain. Change your razor blade after every other shave. After shaving close your pores by applying an alcohol free toner. Invest in some good skin care products for men, including a great shave gel and a soothing moisturizer. Category: Lipstick & Lip Liners Subcategory: Lipstick & Lip Liners Tip: Dry Lips Before applying lipstick, try using a lip exfoliator that has moisturizers in it. Avoid matte lipsticks and instead choose a sheer, tinted lipstick or shimmery gloss. This fresh look will stay on longer and keep lips hydrated. Tip: Make Smart Lipstick Decisions Toy around with semi-matte lipsticks until you find one that you like. Then, after applying the lipstick, blot with a Kleenex until it looks almost sheer. Remember to follow with a natural gloss for shimmery lips. Go for dramatic eyes and natural lips or vice-versa, never do eyes and lips dark shades together! Category: Makeup Application Tips Subcategory: Makeup Application Tips

Tip: Makeup Application Tips Women and teens are always looking for makeup application tips to improve either how their make up looks or how long it takes to put on their make up on. Whether you have been wearing makeup for a long time or you are just starting to, there are many things that you may not know that can help you out. One of the best tricks in the makeup industry is Vaseline. Apply it to your eyelids and your eye shadow will stay on longer in hot, humid heat. If you mix a little Vaseline with a dab of two colors, you can easily make a second color. When applying makeup, pick one feature to accent. Accenting all your features often confuses people because they don't know where to look. If you feel that your eyes are your best feature then play this up with your eyelashes. If you are trying to hide a blemish on your forehead, try accenting your lips with a dark shade, however, don't use black unless it's Halloween. Category: Makeup Artists Subcategory: Makeup Artists Tip: A Bargain Makeup Case In order to optimally organize all of your makeup, you should invest in a train case. Professional train cases are a beautiful, elegant way to have all your cosmetics right at your fingertips. They open up so that you can see exactly what you have, and so that your beauty essentials aren't all stacked together in one cramped makeup bag or thrown into a bathroom drawer. Unfortunately, a good makeup case can be quite expensive. If you would rather invest your money into your makeup than in your case, a good sized fishing tackle box is very similar to a traditional train case. It opens the same way and also has lots of little different-sized storage compartments. Plus, it's made of sturdy material so your makeup will be protected if it happens to get banged around a bit. It's great for travel, too! Tip: Cleaning Your Makeup Brushes Dirty makeup brushes means unflattering makeup application. So how often should you clean your brushes? It really depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin, you will need to clean your brushes once a week. Oils from your face adhere to the brushes, which causes build up faster than dry skin. Those with dry skin can usually go about two weeks between brush cleanings. To clean your brushes, use a foaming face cleanser that has a makeup solvent in it. Wet the brush and dab a drop of cleanser right onto the

brush and swirl it around the palm of your hand, rinse, and lightly squeeze off the excess water onto a towel. Then, lay the brushes flat to dry overnight. Don't prop the brushes upright because the water will drip into the handle and cause the hairs to come loose internally. You can also purchase a brush cleaning spray. An industry favorite is Brush Off (www.brushoff.com), which comes in a pump spray bottle. Spray the solution directly onto the brush hair and then tissue it off. It's very easy, dries quickly, and is much less time consuming than cleanser and water. Both methods will get your brushes free of bacteria, makeup and oils so they are ready to go for smooth makeup application! Category: Makeup For Teens/Tweens Subcategory: Makeup For Teens/Tweens Tip: Covering Acne Acne can take a serious toll on your teen's self esteem. Going to see a dermatologist is the first step to curing severe acne. But, if your teen just has a few blemishes, or just gets a spot occasionally, then proper makeup application can do the trick. Find a concealer that is oil-free. There are specific concealers meant to cover acne and that contain an acne fighting ingredient such as salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide. Dab on the concealer gently with a concealer brush, let it set for a minute, and then blend out the edges so you don't see where the concealer meets the skin. Don't brush too much directly over the spot - you don't want to brush all the concealer away! After the concealer is blended, set it with some loose powder. For more apparent blemishes, find an oil-free medium coverage foundation. This will help camouflage large problem areas, and tone down redness caused by the inflammation of the acne. Use a clean foundation brush to apply the foundation every time, and set with oil-free loose powder. Don't use your fingers or sponges to spread foundation as they harbor bacteria and can make acne worse. Tip: Do Not Share Makeup With Your Friends Teenagers love to experiment with makeup, and sometimes that means sharing makeup. Most of the time, this is not a problem. There are some items that are fine to share, while others can bring up some issues. The safest cosmetics to share with others are powder eye shadows, blush or bronzer, stick foundation, and face powder. Keep your own stash of mascara, eyeliner, lipstick or gloss - these products tend to transmit more germs because they are liquid-based. Mascara and eyeliner can also pass on eye infections such as conjunctivitis. Sharing lip products can easily transmit cold sores or other germs that cause illnesses like the flu and the common cold. And what about those testers of makeup at cosmetics counters? Unfortunately, those aren't germ free, either. Counters take precautions against person-to-person contamination, but it's not a

perfect system. So warn your teenager against using lip and eye testers at cosmetic counters while out shopping with friends. Category: Makeup Trends Subcategory: Makeup Trends Tip: How to do 80s Makeup The 80s were a wild and fun time, and if you are going for the punk look, a 80s themed party or simply love the style, the thing to remember is that the 80s was the time of differently colored shoes and lots of colors. Get Your Makeup Kit The first step is to collect all the makeup you will be needing. Remember that you will require a variety of colors, and most of them will be flashy, so make sure you are well-stocked. Clean Up to Makeup The next step is to start with a clean canvas, so to speak. Make sure you have cleaned your face using warm water and a cleanser. Dry your face before you start putting on the makeup. Strong Foundation Once your face is dry, apply foundation to your face. Powder Up Powder yourself as best fits your skin type. This makes the makeup stay on longer. Windows to the Soul Next, work on your eyes. Use a heavy eyeliner on both the upper and lower lid. Then apply mascara and eye shadow, preferably of a bright color such as shades of blue, magenta or green. Remember, the 80s were not about looking natural. Lips Next comes the lip; first apply a primer, then follow it up with a lip liner. Finally, apply frosted lip gloss, preferably glittery and you are ready for the time machine, or to bring the 80s to a time near you. Category: Mascara & Eye Liner Subcategory: Mascara & Eye Liner Tip: Best Eyemakeup Tips The best tips I could recommend would be to use one neutral eyeshadow all over and use a dark eyeshadow as eyeliner. Apply it into your lashes with a small brush. This will look softer than a pencil (less harsh for day). Apply mascara for a wide eyed look. Use concealer under the eys to cover darkness and to look less tired. Tip: How To Apply Eye Liner Liquid eyeliner should only be used above the top lashes. Make sure to blend in with fingertips so you don't see it. Liner should make you eyelashes look thicker! A dark eye-liner highlights the shape of your eyes and deepens the look. Softly line with eyeliner pencil, draw a thin line along lashes next to roots. For a dramatic look, lightly dot color along the lower lashes. For softness, line can be smudged with fingertip or Q-tip. Tip: The Secret To Applying Mascara Get a hand mirror, and when you apply your mascara, hold the mirror down and look into it. This will allow you to see the root all the way to tips of your eyelahses, making it the best way to apply it to the whole entire lash. This gets the best length possible. Don't look straight into a mirror because you can't see your entire lash line, and then you just tend to put it on the ends. Maximize length=look down into a mirror, got it? This is my very best technique, because it really works Category: Mascara and Eye Liner Subcategory: Mascara and Eye Liner Tip: maybelline makeup Maybelline was created by T.L. Even with a wide variety to choose from, the most common refrain I hear from women is, I hate foundation! Even a sheer foundation feels like a mask covering up their skin. I have tried many times to put foundation on someone who doesn't like it to try and change their mind, and it doesn't work. There is a solution for all the foundation haters out there. If you want your skin to show through, skip foundation altogether and try a tinted moisturizer. It's the best choice for natural coverage that evens out skin tone and will give a healthy glow to your complexion. A tinted moisturizer is closest in texture to a sheer foundation, but also has the added benefit of hydrating the skin. Most tinted moisturizers also offer an SPF of at least 15. If you can find one with an SPF 30, then you are really doing your skin a favor by protecting it daily from incidental sun exposure. Category: Organic Beauty Products Subcategory: Organic Beauty Products Tip: Organic Hair Care Products Has your hair become less vibrant over the years? If so, consider switching to organic hair care products. The advantage of organic hair care products is their all-natural composition. Other types of hair care use synthetic, man-made ingredients and sometimes those chemical substances can damage your hair. You can quickly understand the difference of organic hair care products just by looking at the label.

Instead of a conditioner with a list of ingredients you can't pronounce, try John Masters Organic Lavender & Avocado Intensive Conditioner. This conditioner is made with shea butter, lavender oils, avocado oils and over ten other plant extracts and botanical ingredients. By using this conditioner and other organic products on your hair, you can feel confident that your tresses won't be damaged and instead will be enriched by natural vitamins and minerals. Organic shampoo, like organic conditioner, is equally great for your hair. Category: Potpourri Subcategory: Potpourri Tip: Blemishes There are many spot blemish products on the market. Some work in trying to dry up the blemish. Others contain ingredients that actually draw the oil to the surface and create a whitehead. Tip: Exposure To The Sun I think it is very important to protect your face. I recommend always wearing sunglasses to protect your eyes so you won't squint and create lines. Wearing a hat or cap will block some of the light from hitting your face directly. Always wear a moisturizer or sun lotion with an SPF 8, 15, or higher so you won't burn. Be aware of the dangers of unprotected skin against UVA and UVB rays. Skin cancer (melanoma) is a real disease and more common than you may think. Tip: Lip Lines Some treatment lip products can be used on the lips as well as above the lips. Ask a beauty advisor at your favorite cosmetic counter. Also, there are products made for lines on the face. These can generally be used around the mouth also. Lastly, a facial mask that will help soften the lines is recommended to help the problem. For a special occasion, some masks can be applied in a thin layer and let dry before applying foundation. This will give you an instant lift. Tip: Puffy Eyes You may be puffy due to allergies. Generally this occurs in the morning. Also, lack of

sleep contributes to this condition. Use a treatment eye product that will help the circulation and drain the fluid. This works great if you're puffy from crying too. In a pinch? Try cooled tea bags to help soothe tired, puffy eyes. Category: Prom Makeup Subcategory: Prom Makeup Tip: "Set" Your Makeup You've got your dress, shoes, and your date. Your prom tickets are carefully tucked in your evening bag. Your makeup is beautiful and the colors you choose look great. But with all the prom pictures about to take place, and the hours of dancing under the bright disco lights, you need to set your look so your makeup isn't ruined. Find a loose, translucent (sheer) powder and dust lightly over entire face and throat area with a powder brush to "set" makeup once look is finished. Tip: Pucker up for prom! You want your lips to look powerful the night of prom. One key tip is to make sure you exfoliate your lips before applying lipstick. Apply exfoliator to your lips and use finger in a circular motion to get rid of dry, chapped skin. Try one with peppermint oil to help revitalize tired and dried up lips. Then, apply a lip liner and soften the look with you finger or lipbrush. Apply a great gloss with fingers or lipbrush... dab instead of rubbing across lips, this will keep the shine! Tip: Quick Beauty Tips: Beautiful Prom Makeup On prom night, play up your lips by creating a full beautiful look. It's also important to create a look that will last all night long so you don't have to constantly re-apply your lip color. Read on to learn quick beauty tips for creating beautiful prom makeup looks. Apply a primer to your lips. You can use the same primer that you wear under foundation. This will create a canvas for lipstick pigments to stick to once applied. Choose a lipstick. When choosing prom makeup, select a lip color that's designed to last for hours, like Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Makeup Perfect Lipstick. It has a super smooth consistency that glides on easily and lasts for hours. It also contains vitamin E and coconut oil which moisturizes lips all night. And don't forget to apply a lip liner gently to the lips. Blend into the lipstick to get rid of any harsh lines. Set your lips. Once you've applied your lipstick, set with a lip-gloss to allow them to last all night long. Choose a lip gloss with either no color or a light shimmer. Try Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Tint, which is super moisturizing and provides extra sheen to the lips.

Category: Skin Care Products Subcategory: Skin Care Products Tip: Acne Skin Care Products Acne isn't just for teenagers. Acne affects 50% of women at some point in their adult lives. Many people suffer from acne breakouts well into their 40's and 50's. The causes of acne vary from heredity and hormones to allergies and bacteria. Whatever the cause, there are ways to help heal your existing acne and avoid new breakouts. Your daily skin care routine should consist of washing your face with a medicated cleanser designed for acne treatment. These cleansers normally contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Cleanse your face morning and night with an acne cleanser and rinse with cool water. After cleansing, use a toner to remove extra oil, which can cause more acne. Avoid toners that contain high alcohol content, as they will significantly dry your skin. Apply a light, oil-free moisturizer on a daily basis. Every week, exfoliate your skin to deeply clean your pores. Scrubbing too hard or exfoliating too often will cause dryness and inflammation. Treat your skin gently. Twice a month, use a cleansing mask such as the Juara Lime Puree & Cucumber Clarifying Mask. At Makeup.com, you can find numerous skin care products for acne treatment and prevention. By using these products, your skin will look clearer in no time.
