Adult Kilts Generic Tartans Generic tartans are often the best choice when outfitting a bridal party or mixed group. These tartans have no family affiliations so you avoid problems of asking people to wear tartans that don t apply to their own history. These tartans are very popular and we are able to offer a larger number of these kilts in our hire range. They have a range of base colours that can be easily matched to various colour schemes. Black Single 10 kilts A plain black fabric kilt that can look stylish and modern. Generally best when dressed with other colours introduced with the shirt and/or tie. This is considered a fashion tartan and has no clan affiliations. Black Shadow Black thread woven as a tartan pattern. It is only in the reflection of the light off the fabric surface that you can see the tartan patterning. This is considered a fashion tartan and has no clan affiliations. Black Watch 24 kilts The tartan of the Black Watch army, who have existed in various forms since 1729. This tartan is now considered a generic tartan meaning that everyone is allowed to wear it. Flower of Scotland This tartan was created to honour Roy Williamson, the author of Scotland s national anthem, The Flower of Scotland. It is considered a national tartan meaning that anyone may choose to wear it. Irish National 8 kilts This tartan was produced by The House of Edgar mill in Pitlochry. It is designed for Irish people wanting to wear a tartan kilt. It is considered a national tartan meaning anyone may choose to wear it. Isle of Skye This tartan was selected as the official tartan for the Isle of Skye after a completion was held to design one for the purpose. It is considered a national tartan meaning anyone may choose to wear it.
Royal Stewart 1s Sometimes referred to as the Royal tartan, it is the official tartan of the Royal line of Stewarts, which Queen Elizabeth is currently considered the chief of. Anyone who is a subject of Queen Elizabeth may wear this tartan. Scottish National 1 This tartan was originally designed and produced for the Scottish National Party but has since become disassociated from its political origin. It is now considered a tartan that can be worn by anyone of Scottish descent. Spirit of Scotland 1s This tartan is unique in that it was originally designed specifically for use in the kilt hire trade. The colours were chosen to represent the colours found in a field of heather. It is a fashion tartan and may be worn by anyone who chooses to wear it. Strathisle This is a district tartan for the region of North East Scotland, now more commonly known as Keith. This region is home to the Strathisla Whisky Distillery. District tartans have no clan affiliations and may be worn by anyone who chooses to wear them.

Unfortunately there are literally thousands of registered tartans and we cannot offer a complete selection for our hire stock. We have collected a range of hire tartans that we feel represents a broad spectrum of popular tartans for the Australian market. If we don t have your exact clan tartan we may be able to recommend a tartan that is very similar to the one associated to your clan affiliation.
