The Niagara College logo The Niagara College Logo consists of 3 primary elements. 1. The Circular chaped icon with nc inside. Commonly referred to as the Circle-nc 2. The Niagara College Canada words which are visually connected together. 3. The Tagline: APPLIED DREAMS. At all times, the Circle-nc and the words (1+2) must be shown together to form the official logo. The Niagara College logo can be reproduced in the following formats: 1. Dimensional - The circle-nc portion of the logo appears to be 3-dimensional with shading and a distinct highlight on the left side. This style can only be achieved using full-colour printing. 2. Solid - The circle-nc portion of the logo appears flat and is printed using a single solid colour. The dimensional version 1 is the primary logo and should always be used when reproduction permits. The solid version 2 is preferred when limited to using 1 or 2 colours only. There is a black and grey version for either styles if black is the only ink available 1 Dimensional logo usage APPLIED DREAMS. APPLIED DREAMS. 2 Solid logo usage One-Colour logo usage 4
APPLIED DREAMS. - the Niagara College tagline The tagline APPLIED DREAMS. is a primary element of the College s brand identity and should appear under the logo in blue. Also note that the period after dreams must be included. When reproducing the logo at small sizes (see page 6) the tagline becomes difficult to read and should not be included. If uncertain on proper usage, please contact Niagara College Marketing. Dimensional logo usage with tagline Examples of usage with tagline APPLIED DREAMS. APPLIED DREAMS. 5

Printing methods for branded promotional products. There are many types of products available with several different methods of printing. Each method will yield different results which means you may end up with unexpected results if you are uncertain of the process. Niagara College Marketing will offer professional direction for your project. Please contact us for further details. Silk Screening: This process is ideal for high volume fabric products such as T-Shirts. Solid inks are laid onto the fabric one colour at a time and when overlapped, will result in multicoloured images. Silk screening is usually limited to a single area and cannot extend over multiple areas in once process. Dye Sublimation: Dye Sublimation is the process of setting ink into the fabric before a product is made. Fabric is printed flat and then sewn later into a finished product. Dye Sublimation is great for having an image wrap around all sides Digital printing: Often called inkjet, digital printing on promotional products allows for cost-effective, low-volume orders or promotional items. Each item is printed individually and can offer full-colour results in many instances. This is a common method for printing large items such as flags, banners and signs. Engraving/Etching: Glass and metal can be engraved or etched with special equipment which requires special artwork preparations. Typically the image to be printed is frosted in appearance or done as an outline. 9
