Turu Pure benefits The current Turu products are the result of continual improvement based on feedback from industry and commercial laundries throughout New Zealand. We have identified approximately sixty fine detailed improvements that make Turu overalls far superior to what were the old established market leaders. These include: All inside seams are twin-stitched. This means the Turu Overalls have the standard over-locking and safety stitching, then we apply another row of safety stitching. All Turu Overalls breast pockets, back pockets and rule pockets are twin-stitched and bar-tacked. The Turu Overalls crotch has the usual over-locking and safety stitching, then also has two added rows of safety stitching. All Turu Overalls zips are specially dyed to match the garment - not just a common colour for all overalls. The YKK zips on the Turu Overalls have two extra protective cover flaps. One on the inside to protect you, and one on the outside to protect the zip and to prevent scratching. All Turu fabrics are dyed to the highest ISO Standards. This includes but is not limited to the highest shrinkage standards, and colourfastness to washing, rubbing and light. The Turu 100% cotton fabric comes in at just over 300gsm making it about 3% lighter than the industry norm. This lighter weight is more than compensated for in that it is an extremely tight and fine fabric. Laundries tell us its lasting properties are superior because the tight weave stops the holes fraying and the tight smooth fabric surface prevents the weld metal droplets and the hot metal filings sticking. The Turu Overalls side pockets are proper hanging trouser bag pockets made out of overall material, not a substitute lightweight handkerchief material. Therefore, they do not have the patch pocket stitching at the front to wear through when rubbing against the work bench.
