8 9 AW 17/18 SCENTS OF THE SEASON DISCOVER THE FRAGRANCES THAT ARE SHAPING AUTUMN WINTER 17/18 1 2 SO REAL CHEAP AND CHIC BY MOSCHINO Inspired by the character of Olive from the cartoon Popeye the Sailor Man, this is a new version of the original 1995 scent Cheap and Chic. This range of perfume makes a point not to take anything too seriously, and in this spirit the name and bottle take their inspiration from surrealist art. The fragrance adds citrus notes, musks and oakmoss to a fruity-floral composition of raspberry, peony and jasmine. UNE AMOURETTE BY ETAT LIBRE D ORANGE The fragrance presents another collaboration between niche perfume house and fashion designer: Roland Mouret worked with Etat Libre d Orange on this provocative and sensual scent of iris, neroli, vanilla absolute and patchouli, following a motto of dressing to undress. 1981 FOR MEN BY GUESS This is the first scent for Guess of its category. A masculine version of the fragrance Guess 1981 launched earlier this year, this fragrance is built on contrasts: a woody chypre for men that incorporates a salty accord with notes of violet leaf, leather and olibanum. The bottle s grey colour reflects its woody facets of ambergris and cedar. LE CRI DE LA LUMIÈRE BY PARFUM D EMPIRE A perfume that interprets the word luxury from its root luxus, in turn from the word lux meaning light, and also illustration or ornament. Light is evoked in a chypre composition with references to opalescent notes of Florentine iris and Turkish rose joined with musky ambrette. The scent intends to go beyond making the wearer smell good, instead creating a fragrance that imparts radiance and a dynamic aura. SALE GOSSE BY FANNY BAL FOR FREDERIC MALLE With a name that translates as spoilt brat, this is Frederic Malle s first scent for children and is made in collaboration with perfumer Fanny Bal. Continuing a childhood theme we are seeing in fragrance, the fragrance blends sweet and playful notes of violet and bubblegum alongside sparkling notes of neroli, petitgrain, narcissus and rosemary. EXEMPLAIRE UNIQUE BY LES EAUX PRIMORDIALES The current desire for a sense of wellness and cleanliness in a perfume is explored in this fragrance that evokes just-washed laundry. It is claimed this feeling of extreme cleanliness and pampering turns almost animalic. With jasmine, musks and aldehydes. 3 4 5 6 1. So Real Cheap and Chic, Moschino 2.
