Getting Started Suggestions Choose the Formulation: Several formulations are available - Original Loose, Matte Finish Loose as well as Pressed Minerals. Choose Your Colors: Our Mineral Samplers are the best way to see all of the shades at a nominal cost. Depending on your clientele, carrying 5 6 Foundation Shades (give or take) is usually sufficient. It is a good idea to have all of the shades as a reference library for future add-on considerations. SAMPLE EVALUATION PACKAGE The perfect way to test the colors and textures of all shades before committing to an order of full-sized jars. Since it is difficult to capture the gorgeous, subtle tones of the minerals through photography or verbal descriptions, we are happy to offer our one-gram sample sizes for you to test all of our shades at a nominal cost. Complete Sampler Pack information is listed in our order form. (Limit- One sampler pack per client, however, individual testers can always be purchased). The small sample sizes are extremely concentrated. Use very sparingly! Testing colors on you hand or arm does not show you accurate color with Minerals. This is too heavy of an application and not representative of how they look when brushed lightly on your face. To test for color it is best to swipe along the jaw bone and blend. The correct color should blend into your jaw line with a few strokes without looking lighter or darker. For best results: Sprinkle a small amount into a small bowl (or a tissue). FYI OUR New Mini Disposable Palettes are ideal for this! Swirl a well-domed brush (preferably a kabuki style) into the powder. You only want to pick up a small dusting of powder onto the brush. Swirl the brush around until the Minerals are completely infused into the bristles. If you see the product going on you are using too much! Mineral makeup should always be applied in several light layers. Starting at the outside of your face (along the jaw line), lightly apply the foundation, working inward. Reapply until you achieve the look and amount of coverage desired. It takes a few seconds for the minerals to warm up to your skin. Do not over apply! You will achieve a more natural, flawless finish if you build up several light layers. By waiting a minute between layers you might find that a second layer is not even needed. Try several different application techniques to decide which works best for you. Choose your choice of packaging: (for loose Mineral) Deluxe Jars are offered in choice of Matte Black or Matte Silver. Deluxe packaging offers an upscale, high-end look that is complemented with frosted outer boxes. You can label this packaging on its lid or side. Or have us professionally pad print your logo to add a stylized pizzazz! (Shadows are not boxed) Economy Jars ½ the fill, hence ½ the cost of the deluxe jars. This no frills package will offer enough product for your client to last a couple of months (enough to keep them mineral happy and just enough to keep them coming back for more soon). Because the lid is clear, a clear label with your logo in color really pops! And looks like it was printed right on the package. Of course, they can also be pad printed! 3.5 Mini Shaker jars Karen s preferred method for demo applications. Quick, simple and mess free just shake powder onto palette paper, swirl and buff. Dispensing Systems: Powder Dispensing Brush & Touch Up Compacts Ideal for personal use! Many choose to sell only the dispensing brush system or the new touch up compacts because of their uniqueness and ease of travel. However, it is good practice to demo the product from the loose jars. It is easier to clean the kabuki brushes between clients, keeping a sanitary work area. Continued

Choose your branding method: Our low minimums allow you to start small without a large investment. You can create your own logo labels and be up and running in days. Logo Labels can be created on your own inkjet printer or custom ordered through a professional label manufacturer of your choice. They are inexpensive and easy to apply. Our Makeup is pre labeled with ingredients listed by name (INCI Name) of each ingredient in descending order of predominance, net weight and country of manufacture. Your own identification labels should be applied to the top or side of the package. These labels and their content are your ultimate responsibility. You are responsible for identifying yourself as the seller or distributor (by name) and have a way for the customer to reach you. Use company name, address, phone number or even website. If purchasing in bulk you will need to recreate a bottom ingredient label that complies with the FDA's label requirements. The proper ingredient-listing format follows. This will give you the look you want and will add value to the retail price. A few extra pennies spent at startup will bring you back dollars each and every time you sell a product. Below are the breakdowns for the costs and minimum requirements. There is a one-time charge for art, film and die plates for each package style to be stamped. PAD PRINTING CHARGES: Minimums - 72 PCs. of the same package style. (i.e. 72 PCs. of the 10 gram jar size, or 72 PCs. of the 5 gram jar size). All colors must be ordered in increments of 12 per shade. Thin Steel Cliché Plate - $180.00 for one image size. An additional size, duplicate logo can be put on the same plate (if done at the same time) for an additional $90.00 A Plate is needed to etch your logo for the printing procedure. This is a one-time charge. The amount of different items you are printing, plus your logo size, determines the number of plates needed. The plate is good for approximately 50,000 passes. APPLICATION BASICS FOR LOOSE MINERAL IN JAR: The Mineral Products are extremely concentrated and should be used very sparingly. Start with a very small amount and apply in very sheer layers until you reach the desired coverage. It takes a few seconds for the minerals to warm up to your skin. Wait between layers so as not to over apply. It is much easier to add layers than to take them off. (Two layers are usually sufficient). FOUNDATION Step 1. Puncture just a few selected holes on the seal to control product flow. (Note Deluxe packaging now has new Open / Close sifters not need to puncture holes Step 2. Gently tap a small amount (a pea size) of powder into the lid or directly onto palette paper. Step 3. Using a Kabuki Buffer Brush - swirl the brush around the lid until the minerals are completely infused into the bristles. Tap brush on the side of the lid to remove any excess. This is called loading the brush. (You only want a dusting of the powder to remain on the bristles). Start at the outside of your face (along the jaw line) and work inward. Apply to one side of your face at a time (with downward strokes) then reload the brush to do the other side. (Alternating sides allows time for the minerals to warm up between layers). Repeat a layer to each side if needed. Do not grind the minerals into your skin. You will be surprised by the coverage you get with a light hand. For heavier coverage, it is better to use several light applications than a single heavy one. APPLICATION BASICS FOR POWDER DISPENSING BRUSH SYSTEM A convenient, quick and easy to use all-in-one refillable dispenser. Unique dial mechanism controls powder flow for customized application. Large, silky, soft Brown Faux hair gives flawless coverage. Fill it with your choice of powder. (8-gram refill vials are sold to fill, as you need). It has a top and a protective pull up sleeve to keep bristles in shape when not in use. Pop it in your purse. It is ready to travel wherever you go! Drawstring Pouch for brush sold separate. Refer to diagram on following page for brush component operation. For overall foundation application, point the arrow to Roman Numeral ( II ) for a medium flow. A few passes around the face (building up light layers) is recommended. If a heavier flow is desired, switch setting to ( III ). If a lighter flow is desired, step back to setting ( I ). Remember that the best application is achieved by building up light layers.

Powder Dispensing Brush System USER INSTRUCTION: (O) Indicates the CLOSED sign. Keep arrow set at (O) when not in use. You may adjust the powder amount by rotating the arrow to (I) or (II) or (III) as desired. To close and apply outer cap --- Always turn dial back to (O) position. Pull the protection sleeve up over the hair first and then firmly snap on outer cap. How to Fill - Dispensing System Remove tamper seal and cap from 8-gram vial. Unscrew Bottom Cap on dispenser brush to expose fill area. You will notice a clear plastic plug when you open the bottom. Remove this and replace after filling the brush. Carefully pour contents of vial into open chamber. (The fill area will accept the entire contents of one tube however, it is not necessary to fill the entire brush all at once so save the vial cap!). Replace bottom cap on dispenser brush by screwing on very tightly. With dispensing brush filled and ready to go Turn dial to desired number and apply. You may need to work the brush to get the first flow going. For darker colors used as bronzers, Mineral Blush and Mineral Rice Setting Powders application should be at setting ( I ) for the lightest, softest effect. Always store the brush on the closed setting ( 0 ) when not in use. IMPORTANT! Always close cap tightly and avoid loosening this when turning dial. Bottom cap should not be held while turning dial. TIPS & TRICKS And just overall fun things you can do with Mineral Makeup! Mineral makeup can be applied immediately after a light peel or microdermabrasion. It will not only cover the redness, but the Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxides are antiinflammatories, which will help to calm the irritation. Application after laser resurfacing depends on the laser that was used and how deeply it was used. Makeup should only be applied after the skin has re-epithelized. This can be from 7 to 14 days post-op, but makeup should only be applied if the doctor has given his/her okay. Do not apply minerals over a heavy petrolatum based balm or heavy cream - makeup will get cakey. Apply mineral powder to dry skin. Our Flocked Sponge works effectively for post laser work. If the powders appear to accentuate wrinkles or look dry because the skin is flaky from the resurfacing, spritz the face with our D2O spray, let set and lightly blot with flocked sponge in a soft downward direction. Unlike traditional foundations, you do not want to see instant coverage. The coverage needs to be built up with thin layers and the product needs time to warm up to your skin and mix with your natural oils. If it appears shiny, you've put on too much! Try using the Flocked Sponge to remove any excess. You can also add a little Mineral Rice Setting Powder or Sheer Miracle AM or PM on top to calm the shine.

Continued. Using the same shade as your overall foundation - use a small shadow brush to help hide imperfections. Dot directly on problem spots with brush tip. Turn the brush in several different directions while tapping. Since the minerals are so light reflective, turning the brush will apply it so as to scatter the light even more, helping to call attention away from the area of concern. Convert Loose Mineral Foundation to a cream or liquid foundation or concealer by mixing with your favorite moisturizer (for a creamy consistency) or our D20 spray for a liquid foundation. Mix powder and moisturizer/d20 proportionately to desired consistency. (Mineral Enhancer Polished works great as a concealer shade apply with a taklon brush for best results). For a sheer luminous glow - very lightly spray the Flocked Sponge or any Kabuki Buffer brush with D20 spray, dip into Mineral Foundation Powder and quickly buff onto face. You may also try dipping first and then lightly spraying. Make a tinted moisturizer with a dollop size of moisturizer onto disposable paper palette sheet, tap a small amount of Mineral Powder and mix together for a quick easy tinted moisturizer with sun protection. Try one shade darker than your usual. Smooth over entire face. To set makeup for a long lasting matte finish; dust Mineral Rice Setting Powder over your foundation with our Luscious Kabuki brush. You will love the silky feel on your skin. To control very oily skin or excess moisturized skin (perhaps following a microderm) try using the Rice Powder as a pre-base and apply Mineral Foundation directly on top. To cover large pores, after the minerals have been applied, spritz face with D20 (heavy water), when most of the D2O has been absorbed, lightly tap with a flocked sponge in a stippling motion. Pores will disappear. D20 Spray is a good substitute moisturizer for oily skin. Try using AM Powder as a pre-base to smooth put pores. To customize your foundation shade mix two shades by lightly touching your brush to each shade, then swirl the mixture inside the lid, and apply as usual. Tone down a shade by mixing a little Rice Setting Powder with it. The easiest way to mix is to spill a little product onto the Disposable Paper Palette. Try using a darker base as a contour or bronzer. This makes the skin come alive and also increases the sun protection. Try a lighter shade as a highlighter! Apply Bronze Foundation or Sun Kissed Enhancer with a Soft Fan Brush or Fiber Optic Brush to cheeks, forehead, shoulders, and décolletage or anywhere you want a sun kissed bronze tan. (Try Latte or Praline for a cooler glow). BLUSH - The unique Fiber Optic Brushes will offer a feather light, natural application that s not over done. Use Fiber Optic Blush Brush by picking up a small amount of product from the lid or paper palette. Apply to apples of the cheeks, working outward and slightly up. Use smaller Fiber Optic Shadow Brush with this same multi-tasking color, for a hint of natural shading swept across eyelid. Over applied blush can be toned down by sweeping a little of the Mineral Rice Setting Powder on top. Use powders wet or dry as a shadow, eyeliner, or even mix with clear lip-gloss for a beautiful pout. Mineral Shadows can be used with our Eyeliner Sealer for an instant liquid liner that stays in place all day! (Eyeliner Sealer is the perfect wetting agent for turning Mineral Shadows into beautiful, long lasting liquid eyeliner). Use shadows wet by lightly spraying brush with a little bit of D20, dip into shadow and apply or dip first and then spray and apply! Mineral Shadows can be used to custom tweak foundation shades. Add a little more yellow to foundations (Buttercup shadow or Lemon corrector) add a little more pink (It s a Girl! shadow). Be creative! Experiment and have fun!

Karen s quick, easy, multitasking application method to maximize time, product and wow your client in less then five minutes! After moisturizer has completely absorbed (trick: a thin layer of Mineral Rice Powder will immediately cut down excess moisture), apply a thin layer of Mineral Foundation on one side of the face. Reload brush and apply to the other side. Repeat with a second layer if needed. (As stated earlier applying to one side at a time, allows the minerals time to warm up to the skin for true coverage and color). For shading, balance and contour, dust a light layer of Mineral Blush to the apples of the cheeks with the Fiber Optic Blush brush. Squeeze the sides of the brush head to flatten and sweep the same brush over eyelids with the remaining product. Using a throw away lip wand - wet lips with Clear Cellophane Lip Shine Gloss (available from the standard ColorStrokes makeup line) mix this same multi tasking blush shade on top for a coordinating finished look. Product can be spilled onto paper palette and picked up easily with the already moistened lip wand. After a treatment - this value-added service will allow your client to go out and face the day with a beautiful finished, sun protected, fresh glow. As easy as 1-2 3 (Well okay 4, but we are over achievers). Tools Needed: One shade of Mineral Foundation and Blush (Rice Powder only if needed), Kabuki Brush, Fiber Optic Blush Brush, Cellophane Lip Gloss with Disposable Lip Wand Applicator. Paper Palette optional, but highly recommended!
