Our end of year Holiday Party was held in the Gallery. We were surrounded by the wonderful art displayed in the MCL Grand's Gift of Art Sale.

4 of 26 02/01/2018, 11:24 pm Plenty of delicious food and wine brought by members. A big thank you to Christi Martin for being our bartender once again! Attendees each brought a gift of their own artwork for our Thieving Elves gift exchange! We picked numbers and, in turn, picked a gift from the gift table. Or...stole one from someone else! Great fun was had by all and even though we may have lost a gift we wanted, we each went home with a beautiful piece of art by a fellow member. Dave McRedmond was very pleased with his Leatherbury

16 of 26 02/01/2018, 11:24 pm Colleen Drew A big Thank You! to Colleen for taking charge of this event!! Paula Haynes, Kathy Maybury, Nancy Busey, David Mast VAL had a successful booth at the Lewisville Holiday Stroll on November 18. Children were welcome to come and create their own ornaments. We had a fantastic turnout of little painters. The count of ornaments used was over 325! That's a lot of visitors to our booth and a great way of serving our community as well as getting exposure for our organization. The kids were very seriously interested in painting and taking the ornaments with them. Kathy, Nancy, David, and Paula, who was in charge of the booth, worked hard to see that the kids were constantly filling the vacant spaces left for new painters. Way to go! Thank you all for volunteering!

19 of 26 02/01/2018, 11:24 pm Back to top Artist Opportunities Lewisville Library Looking for Artists to Display Their Work! I am one of the librarians at Lewisville Public Library and I am looking for artists who would like to display their work in one of the library's display cases. The display cases are 8 feet tall and 13 feet long. Exhibitors can reserve one display case for one month time periods and right now I am looking for artists for December and the first half of 2018 (January through May). My email address is rmansfield@cityoflewisville.com and my phone number is 972.219.3721 if anyone would like to contact me. Thank you! Rebekah Mansfield Fine Art Foster Home Program Daren Fagan has come up with a program to promote artist's work and wants to know who is interested in participating in the Fine Art Foster Home program. The idea is to arrange for your art piece to reside in the home of someone in the community who hosts parties and events in their home. Your art is then on display temporarily where it will get exposure for potential sales. If you are interested, he will need quality pics of art you would like to submit for consideration. He will post and broadcast from his website and will have marketing and agreement materials. This article describes the program pretty well: http://www.cityoflewisvillecom/home/components/news/news2701/710 Any further questions can be directed to Daren at dfsculptures12@verizon.net
