UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS AND DRESS CODE Grapevine Faith Christian School has a required uniform dress code. Student clothing must be conservative, neat, clean, pressed, and properly fitted. Grapevine Faith Christian School administration reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of all clothing worn at school and school functions. Students who are enrolled at Grapevine Faith must be in uniform while on campus during the entire school day (7:45 am 3:15 pm). Students who do not follow the guidelines for dress code will be subject to disciplinary action and/or forfeiture of privileges. All decisions rest with administration. WHERE TO PURCHASE Uniform Polos All uniform polo shirts must have the lion head logo and be purchased from the located at the Worth Street campus. They may be purchased during store hours or ordered online from the link on the Faith website. Plaid Garments All plaid garments must be purchased at. The store is located at 3001 Hwy 121 Suite 286, Grapevine TX 817-545-4088. Items may also be ordered online at www.parkersu.com Chapel Shirts White chapel shirts can be purchased in the Faith Spirit Store or the store of your choice. Navy and Khaki Pants/Shorts/Skirts/Other All other uniform pieces may be purchased at the store of your choice. Please make sure the color reads "navy" or "khaki. Uniform Resale PTF will host a Uniform Resale for parents annually. Most uniform items will be available at a substantial discount. PE AND ATHLETIC ATTIRE (High School & Jr High): All Faith PE/Athletic wear must be purchased in the Faith Spirit Store except what is designated specifically for particular sports by coaches. A longer athletic short is available for an additional charge. Winter attire is non-sport specific and generic across all winter sports. No neon, sparkles, lights, wheels, feathers, glitter, etc. Sandals and flip-flops are not permitted. Athletic shoes that follow the color guidelines may be worn every day except Chapel Day. Chapel shoes must be dress shoes that are brown, black, or a these colors. Elementary Chapel shoes must follow the color guidelines and may be an athletic type shoe. Any type of boot must be worn under the pant leg. Boots cannot be worn with skirts, skorts, or. WINTER WEAR Grades PreK-5: Coats, jackets, sweaters, and the approved Faith sweatshirt may be worn. Coats, jackets, and cardigan sweaters to be worn inside the building must fall within the following criteria: o Plain, solid red, white, navy, gray, black or brown o No hoods o Must be clean, neat and in good repair Grades 6-12: Coats and jackets must be stored in student lockers during school hours. Grapevine Faith letter jackets, cardigan sweaters (Spirit Store only), the approved navy ¼ zip Faith pullover, or the approved red or navy full zip fleece Faith jacket may be worn at any time. SPIRIT DAY / FAITH WEAR ATTIRE Spirit Day attire consists of approved Faith logo wear and blue jeans, pants, skirts or kneelength, non athletic type. Clothing must fit properly and be of approved length (3 inches from middle of knee). Jeans must not be ripped or torn. Pajama pants, sweatpants, athletic pants, yoga pants or athletic are NOT permitted. Leggings cannot be worn as pants with a long shirt. Appropriate boots are permitted on Spirit Days. (please refer to page 18 under FOOTWEAR) PE uniform clothing is NOT permitted. All guidelines related to hats, hair, jewelry, footwear, skirt length, and winter wear will remain in effect. Failure to follow guidelines may result in forfeiture of future participation in Spirit Day privileges. FREE DRESS / SPECIAL EVENTS ATTIRE On these designated days, approved by the Grapevine Faith Administration, students have the option of not wearing the school uniform for free dress to recognize school events and functions. Grapevine Faith Christian School administration reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of all clothing worn at school and school functions. All guidelines related to hats, hair, jewelry, footwear, skirt length, and winter wear will remain in effect. Free Dress Attire: Clothing must fit properly and be of approved length (3 inches from middle of knee). Blouses, shirts, pullovers, and t-shirts that are clean, modest and of proper fit, of the student s choosing. No pajama pants. PE uniform clothing is NOT permitted. Appropriate athletic are permitted as long as they follow the guideline for length. Special Event Attire: Some events may call for students to support a particular event by dressing in a specific fashion. Examples: Homecoming Week, Red-Out Days, Grandparents Day, and SLU Days. Additional criteria for these days may be announced prior to the event. All guidelines related to accessories will remain in effect. 6/9/14 Page 19

Elementary Field Trip: The standard field trip attire for grades PreK 5 is the red Faith logo polo shirt and navy bottom. HAIR Students will keep their hair neat, clean, well-groomed, and in traditional styles and colors. Length in front should not hamper vision. The minimum acceptable standard for boy s haircuts will be as follows: o Hair is off the collar in back and off the eyebrows in front, the middle of the ear is plainly showing, and the sideburns do not extend below the bottom of the ear. o No facial hair will be allowed. COSMETICS Grades PreK - 5 Girls are not permitted to wear make-up. Neutral tone lip gloss and neutral tone fingernail polish are permitted. Grades 6-12 Girls may wear foundation, blush, powder, and lipstick in traditional conservative colors. Eye shadow may be worn, but it should enhance the natural skin tones. Mascara may be worn, but false eyelashes are not permitted. Fingernail polish in traditional tones may be worn. JEWELRY Boys may wear watches, necklaces, and finger rings only. Girls may wear watches, necklaces, bracelets, finger rings, and pierced earrings (two earrings per ear maximum). MISCELLANEOUS UNIFORM INFORMATION Students who are enrolled in Grapevine Faith Christian School must be in uniform while on campus during the entire school day (7:45 am 3:15 pm). Tattoos are not permitted in any form. Hats are not to be worn in the building, but may be worn outside. No logos of any kind other than Faith logo wear. Skirts and/or jumpers cannot be more than 3 inches above the middle of the knee. 6/9/14 Page 20
