Inappropriate or any dancing that is sexually suggestive is forbidden at all school dances. It is difficult to keep up with the ever changing fashions for formal dances. As such, St. Thomas Aquinas High School administration will not put specific restrictions upon the dress attire of its students with the following exception: The bottom hem of dresses must extend down to no higher than 4 inches above the knee. Boys are expected, at a minimum to wear a tie, dress shirt, and dress pants (no jeans). For Prom, boys are expected to wear a tuxedo or a dress suit. It is incumbent upon the parents of St. Thomas Aquinas students to ensure that their sons and daughters are dressed in an appropriate and modest manner consistent with the ideals of a Catholic high school. We trust that students and parents will use good judgment. However, inappropriately dressed individuals may be asked to go home to change. All guest of St. Thomas Aquinas students are required to follow these guidelines.
