WHAT IS BLUSHED BEAUTY SCHOOL? Blushed Beauty School is designed to teach you the correct way to do your own makeup. We offer our lessons in both a one on one format, as well as a group format for groups of 2 4 people. All of our lessons are personalised and catered to each individual or group, as well as your current level of makeup skills, age bracket and what you want to learn or achieve from a lesson with Blushed Makeup. Whether you want to dive in the deep end solo and spend time one on one with our makeup artist, or you want to gather your best girlfriends or sisters and enjoy a group lesson girls night you will learn the correct techniques to apply your own makeup, whilst having fun. All of our lessons are practical and hands on, so you ll actually be learning how to do your own makeup, not watching someone else do theirs and hoping you get it right when you go home. Sessions are designed to help guide and teach you to understand the basics of makeup application, and master signature Blushed Makeup looks on yourself. This doesn t necessarily mean that every makeup artist uses the same techniques on every client (every artist and client is different), but we show you how to do your makeup the Blushed Makeup way! We can base your lesson around a specific makeup look that you have in mind, or we can recommend one of our most popular and requested looks, at your desired pace. All you have to do is bring along whatever contents are currently in your personal makeup bag and your makeup brushes if you have them. We will begin your lesson by taking a peek inside your makeup bag so we can show you how to make the most of the products that you already own throughout the lesson. If there s something missing, we will provide you with products and/or brushes for the night, and then help you create a personalised Shopping List of things that you should add to your makeup bag - we can recommend what you can buy, where to get it and a rough price so you can go out and get exactly what you need to start and continue to create beautiful makeup. If you don t have any makeup or brushes, or just prefer to use our products, we will provide everything for you. T E R M S & CONDITIONS Our lessons are designed to teach you the basic and right techniques to do your own makeup, therefore, please note that we are unable to offer Blushed Beauty School lessons to anyone who intends to or currently; owns a makeup business, works as a makeup artist or has previously undertaken a professional makeup course. Prior to participating in a lesson with us, all students are required to complete an enrolment form which includes an agreement outlining the above. Unfortunately, if you are unable to sign a binding agreement stating the above, we will be unable to undertake your lesson. We thank you for your understanding. Please note that if you bring someone along with you to your lesson that is not participating, we ask them to wait in our reception area for the duration of our lesson. If they would like to sit in with you, our group lesson fee s will apply.
WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF A LESSON WITH BLUSHED? First and foremost, you will learn the correct way to do your own makeup, which in turn gives you confidence, techniques and skills which will stay with you well into the future. WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE LESSON? During your makeup lesson, you will learn how to apply a full face of makeup on yourself from start to finish. You are welcome to bring along a photo of a makeup look you d like to base your lesson around (please send this to us in advance), or we will provide one of our most popular and requested makeup looks to work from. This look is used as a guide only and will be tweaked by our makeup artist to suit the student/s needs, age group, level of skills etc. Our makeup artist will demonstrate every step of personal makeup application, one step at a time, followed by guiding you through doing each step on yourself. Included Standard Subjects: Makeup Tools & Brush Basics Basic Skin Care and Makeup Preparation Flawless Foundation Technique, including how to use your Beauty Blender correctly Contour & Highlight Long Wearing Setting Techniques such as Baking Brown Smokey Eye Winged or Standard Eyeliner False Lash Application Eyebrow shaping and filling Cheeks and Glow (Blush, Bronzer & Illuminiser) Statement/Bold or Nude Lip Optional Additional Subject: Natural Makeup - Everyday makeup look suitable for work or school. Includes: Everyday Skin Preparation Flawless Foundation Technique Natural Eye and Brow Shaping Sun Kissed, Rosy Cheeks with a Subtle Glow Your Lips But Better This additional subject, if selected, will be covered at the beginning of your lesson. It is designed to help you learn basic techniques for every day makeup, suitable for work or school. You will then remove this makeup, and start again with the above Standard Subjects. This gives you a chance to do some of the subjects and steps twice during your lesson to ensure you get them perfect. This additional subject is highly recommended for participants who are at a beginner level. If you select to add this additional subject to your lesson, an additional 30 minutes applies to your lesson duration, along with an additional cost.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY LESSON? We encourage you to go home and practice, practice, practice! Rome wasn t built in a day, nor was a beautiful makeup look. We all started out as beginners, so sit in front of a mirror when you are bored and keep practicing. We also offer an optional and obligation free Refresher Lesson if you would like to touch up and refine your new skills once you have built up your makeup bag, your technique and your confidence. This will polish your techniques and take your skills to the next level, or even just refresh your mind and get some assurance that you are doing things right! We recommend our Refresher Lesson for those ladies who are at a beginner level, or are lacking a little bit of confidence when it comes to makeup application, but no matter what level you are, you re welcome to attend. All Refresher Lessons are one on one for approximately 1 1.5 hours and are available to anyone who has undertaken a Blushed Beauty School lesson, whether it be a one on one or group lesson format. WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES? The Blushed Beauty School Lesson price is based on the number of people attending the lesson. As mentioned, lessons are offered in both one on one lessons for individuals and group lessons for 2 4 people. Our studio location is only able to accommodate a maximum group of 4 people. Blushed Beauty School Makeup Lessons are offered on weekday evenings (generally Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 5pm). If you would like to make a booking and enrol for a makeup lesson, please complete our Blushed Beauty School Enrolment Form and return back to us via email. We will then contact you to arrange a suitable time and provide you with further enrolment forms.
