It is a polysaccharide (a polymer) glycosaminoglycan which supports the natural moisture balance. One molecule of hyaluronic acid is able to bind and hold up to 00 water molecules. Hyaluronic acid strengthens intercellular junctions and helps to tighten the epidermis. As a result, the skin is firm and smooth.
