BODY SKIN FACTS There are over 3 million skin cells on every square centimetre of your body billions and billions of cells in all, each one vital to your body s health and wellbeing. Skin is responsible for holding good things, like water and nutrients, inside your body and for keeping bad things out. That includes germs and other environmental stressors and impurities. Thankfully, healthy, cared-for skin is remarkably good at what it does! Skin is a fairly complex organ, with several layers and functions. Skin contains blood vessels, nerves, sebum (oil) and sweat glands, pores, and hair follicles. Skin is not the same all over your body. BODY SKIN CHALLENGES Here are some of the most common challenges the skin on your body faces. To minimise these effects and keep your skin in great shape, it s essential to enjoy a simple daily G&H body care routine. Cleansing and moisturising are key in the morning and all day long along with deodorant. Dryness and Discomfort One of the most common problems for body skin is dehydration. Dry skin feels tight, taut, and uncomfortable. It may be itchy or feel irritated. Ageing and a Healthy-looking Appearance Many customers, especially women, regularly use facial skin care to improve their youthful appearance. But we may neglect our body skin especially on the hands, neck, and chest area which can influence how young we look to the rest of the world. Poorly hydrated body skin looks dull and lacklustre.
