Press Report Eclat de Mode Bijorhca From 23rd to 26 th january 2010 The January 2010 session of Eclat de Mode closed on an upbeat note with a huge rise in visitor numbers indicating a return to pre-recession form. The number of visits to the last session was up 19.74% compared with January 2009, even surpassing January 2007 and 2008 figures. These figures plus positive feedback from exhibitors, point to a marked upturn in buying intentions. The exhibition recorded a healthy total of 13,529 visits. The latest breakdown shows 65% French and 35% international visitors. On the exhibitor side, the January 2010 session of Eclat de Mode brought together 383 designers (200 international and 183 French). The offer is segmented into 5 main sections to make it easier for visitors to find their way around: Fashion, Designer and Fine Jewellery (52%) Silver, Gold, Gold-Plated, Fashion Watches and Piercing (34%) Fashion Accessories (3%) Elements : supplies, finishings, boxes and cases, etc. (11%) Cream by Eclat de Mode turning the spotlight on glam chic, an original showcase for 40 handpicked designers Cream by Eclat de Mode «On the visitor front, the show saw a return to prerecession form. I found new customers and 50% more new leads compared with the last sessions, which is great for me! Visitors were particularly interested in value for money and surefire designs. ( )» Linda Lacroix (France) Exhibitor, Fashion Jewellery Page 1 sur 9

Exhibitors testimonials The exhibitors were satisfied with their presence at the show and pleased with their results. The general feeling is that there are signs of economic recovery. «Another brilliant session! We had some productive meetings with buyers from all over the world, who were enthusiastic, open to ideas and on the lookout for quality». La Mygale en Tutu (France) Exhibitor Cream «We took a lot more orders than in September 2009. There were huge numbers of international visitors on the first couple of days and more French customers on the last day.» Galéria Mundi (France) Exhibitor, Fine Jewellery «( ) An important point about the Trends area: our customers needed to be reassured about their choices and aspirations rather more than usual; the Trends Area was a significant factor in their decision-making and everyone benefited. A third of customers came to my stand because they had spotted my pieces in the Trends Area. The final positive point is the active and visible presence of journalists at the exhibition. Those I met on my stand were very interested and asked some in-depth questions about my products.» Linda Lacroix (France) Exhibitor, Fashion Jewellery «The show went well. Plenty of new leads, orders flowing in more easily, turnover on the up.» Nicolas De Waël (France) Exhibitor, Fashion Jewellery «I absolutely loved the show! Everything was perfect and the overall look and feel of the show is amazing. It is the best show I have ever been to! It is all very well organised from start to finish which makes it very easy to be an exhibitor». Xi Design (UK) Exhibitor, Cream Sophie Goetsch (France) Exhibitor, Fashion Jewellery Page 2 sur 9

The increase in visitor numbers by continent was especially high for Asia (+47.14%), North America (+41.46%) and Europe (+9.52%) The January 2010 session of Éclat de Mode was a fantastic showcase for Niki: most importantly, we made inroads in areas we couldn t have reached with just our sales team. Italy, Switzerland and Spain were our biggest customers at this show. French buyers were surprisingly appreciative of our designer s style, which has opened up some unexpected development opportunities. Niki (France) Exhibitor, Fine Jewellery Major buyers flock to the show The number of visitors from buying offices and groups was up by 56.1%, those from department stores by 31.9% and from mail-order firms by 41.2%. Focus on the gifts market The number of visitors from gift shops expanded by 20.7% thanks to the synergy with Maison & Objet held on the same dates as Eclat de Mode. «Our customers flocked to the show. We also signed with new customers and a distributor in New Zealand. The new collection was very well received. A great start to 2010!» Amélie BLAISE (France) Exhibitor Cream They came: Le Bon Marché (France), El Corte Ingles Madrid (Spain), Fenwick (UK), Franck & Fils, Galeries Lafayette, HP France, MFA (France), Lambert & Associates, Odile Baudelaire Fashion Office (France), Biyan Living (Indonesia), Agnès B, Museum Of Contemporary Art Of Chicago (USA), V&A Museum (UK), Orfèvrerie Christofle (France), Paul Smith Ltd (UK), Louis Vuitton (France), Kookaï (France), Printemps Page 4 sur 9

Visitors testimonials I came to Eclat de Mode because all the jewellery sectors are represented. I work mostly with customers in the Middle East and they are interested in anything that s made in France! I found there was a lot of choice with a good selection of brands and new products. I love the venue and I always leave the show happy! Lucie Assadourian Export Manager, MFA buying office I come to Eclat de Mode to keep up with the new trends and see what the exhibitors have to offer, especially in fashion jewellery. I found a wide choice of brands and the companies I was expecting to see were there. For me, the highlight of the show is the special events. At Eclat de Mode I was able to meet the suppliers I am already working with and also find new ones. I found that the breakdown of French and international brands reflected what my customers are looking for. I was pleased with my visit, especially with the way visitors are welcomed, something I haven t found at any other show. Taking his inspiration from Hollywood westerns, the show s Assistant Director and Artistic Director Richard Martin designed a sheriff s badge in the exhibition colours. Being chosen as a Fashion Sheriff is a mark of recognition from the industry that you are a fashion leader and, more specifically, a leader at the show over the four days! The Sheriffs de Mode awards ceremony and drinks took place at 7.15pm on Sunday 24 January 2010 in the CREAM by ECLAT DE MODE area. Winners «Sheriffs de Mode» award Page 6 sur 9
