All the tans chosen are natural-based and have not been tested on animals. We stock a wide variety of brands so that our highly-trained team are able to suggest the best product and tan for you. Whether you are a seasoned tanner or have never had a tan before, Eden is the place for you and all your spray tanning needs. The following steps will ensure your best tan yet. 1-2 Days Before Your Tan 1. Exfoliate your entire body thoroughly to remove any dead skin cells. Focusing on the knees elbows and any dry areas. 2. The tan will take more evenly if you moisturise well after showering. 3. Drink plenty of water to ensure your skin is well hydrated. 4. Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid causing dry patches or accidentally damaging the skin. The Day Of Your Tan 1. If possible shower and wash your skin before your tan, avoiding harsh soaps. If you are unable to take a shower before your tan, avoid putting anything on the skin that may cause a barrier, including make-up, deodorant and perfumes (we provide face and body wipes if needed). 2. Wear or bring loose fitting clothing and shoes to minimise any rubbing of the skin after the tan. Maintaining Your Tan 1. Each brand of tan has its own showering guidelines. Your technician will advise you when you should shower to achieve the best result. 2. It s normal to see colour washing off during your first shower after application. This is the bronzer, not the tan. If you have followed the guidelines and left the tan for the recommended length of time, you will achieve the desired result. 3. The length of time the tan lasts will vary from person to person depending on skin types, activities engaged in and how the skin is prepared and maintained. A professional tan will normally last between 7-10 days. 4. Avoid using harsh soaps and high lathering body wash as this may cause the tan to fade. 5. Minimise hair removal as this will deteriorate the tan. 6. Keep showers as cool and as short as you can. Gently pat skin dry after you shower. 7. Avoid baths, swimming pools, the ocean or saunas during the duration of your tan. 8. Moisturise twice daily with an extra hydrating body lotion. Avoid moisturisers that contain alpha hydroxyl acids, or anything that suggests it exfoliates the skin. Your technician can suggest a moisturiser and maintenance program for you. TEETH WHITENING For the past 20 years or more the teeth whitening market has progressed dramatically with sophisticated inclinic treatments and various home products. Not all the products available are effective or safe and it is important to know the difference. A common ingredient for dental, salon or homewhitening products is hydrogen peroxide (HP - either in this form or in the form of carbamide peroxide - CP). HP and CP are not ideal as they can cause significant and ongoing sensitivity to the user and if applied to a damaged tooth. It can cause pain and potentially exacerbate any damage by aggravating the root and nerve. Levels of above 6.0% HP can only be provided by a dentist in Australia.
