5 FAIR LADY COLLECTIONS EMILE CHOURIET PARTNER OF INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION The first is a ballet of hour and minute hands moved by a mechanical heart, while the second is the gentle agility of a muscular body: watchmaking and the dance are age-old disciplines that travel along the same roads. Creative expression, artistic and technical mastery, precise hand gestures and the transmission of expertise are all values shared with grace and emotion in these two worlds. Like the Prix de Lausanne, considered the top ballet competition in the world, the watchmaker Emile Chouriet was created in Switzerland, but is international in scope. Its work is based on local watchmaking culture, and it produces its timepieces in its Geneva workshop, with most of the watches being exported abroad. What s more, Emile Chouriet has a very open policy in terms of transmitting knowledge, with apprenticeships providing young watchmakers in the workshops with the tools they will need for the future. From these shared elements and values arose Emile Chouriet s wish to support the 45th Prix de Lausanne and take part in training young dancers. 7 FAIR LADY COLLECTIONS 8 FAIR LADY THE BEAUTY OF DREAMS NEVER FADES Like a lotus flower growing on the dark waters of a pond or a butterfly emerging out of his cocoon, beauty arises spontaneously in nature. But it also inevitably withers and disappears, unless it is transformed into something that never dies: art. The designs of the Fair Lady collection translate the forms found in nature into the language of watchmaking. Rather than to simply imitate a flower or the wings of a butterfly, we have abstracted new patterns to inform the design of the watches, from their dials to the bracelets. The patterns sublimate the purity of frail petals and wings into the lasting beauty the craftsmanship of metal, echoing the techniques of origami and guillochage. The patterns of this collection inscribe themselves within the signature shapes of the Emile Chouriet watches, renewing and energizing them. When you wear a Fair Lady watch, you are not only wearing a beautiful jewel with a pure design, but, unsuspecting, you wear the beauty of our dreams too.

Emile Chouriet, a Genevan watchmaker Geneva, a halo of light nestling between the towering heights of the Alps and the Jura, and bathed by the tranquil waters of Lake Geneva. Geneva, a city with walls charged with history, a vital part of the world of watchmaking since the 16th century following the Calvinist Reformation. Geneva, home of the cabinotiers (watchmakers), including Emile Chouriet, who have made the most refined watches in the world by hand. Geneva, a dynamic canton where the Emile Chouriet plant stands today, with watch collections celebrating the beauty of a city that is both historic and young, traditional and up-to-date, marvellous and discreet.

The Lac Léman watch reminds us of the history of Mr Emile Chouriet, who had two nationalities, like Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) located in both Switzerland and France. Lake Geneva is lined by Geneva, an elegant city, and its neighbouring picturesque towns and villages sitting on its shores. It is a capital of Art and culture which are recognised throughout the world. An atmosphere of Riviera chic is felt in the design of this understated and classic watch. This collection includes complications such as a Chronograph, a Dual-Time and a Calendar. Their design puts a strong focus on details, offering the perfect embodiment of elegance. The delicacy and heritage of Emile Chouriet are expressed in this collection.

63 SPORT COLLECTIONS 64 Challenger Deep GO WHERE NO ONE HAS EVER BEEN BEFORE The Challenger Deep is the deepest known point under the surface of the ocean, at a depth of 10,916 m. When Swiss explorer Jacques Piccard and U.S. Navy Lieutenant Don Walsh reached the Challenger Deep aboard their bathyscaphe Trieste on the 23rd January 1960, they marked a new frontier in the history of mankind. The Challenger Deep commemorates this spectacular achievement as it opens a new territory within Emile Chouriet s timepieces. Carved for action with sharper lines and angles, the watch nonetheless retains the distinctive elegance of the brand in a new subtle balance of power and style. Available in deep blue or in black, the watch has been designed for readability in dark environments and is water resistant up to 300 meters. The rotating bezel, available in both steel or ceramic, is not only functional, allowing divers to measure their immersion times, but it also magnifies the effect of the dial by extending its colour in a material which resembles a precious stone.

71 SPORT COLLECTIONS 72 Ice Cliff CARVE YOUR OWN WAY Why climb a mountain? Adventurers have been fascinated by the Swiss Alps for centuries. Despite the difficulty, inhospitable environment and constant danger, there is something sublime in high altitudes in the way rock and ice carve into each other a form of writing on the pages of the book of nature. The Ice Cliff is inspired by the achievements of the pioneers of the conquest of the Swiss Alps and pays a tribute to the state of mind of these explorers. They risked everything in their ascensions, but they were seeking something unique: a rare emotion on the summit, a certain feeling of autonomy, freedom and achievement. The bold design of the watch reproduces the language of ice and rock of the glaciers with a work of layering of different surfaces and a highlight of sharp lines and angles. A touch of elegance is brought by the roman numerals to recall the style of our brand, bridging tradition and modernity.

79 TRADITION COLLECTIONS DETAIL IS LUXURY To perpetuate the art of timekeeping and to work for the transmission of skilled craftsmanship have therefore always counted among the most important guiding principles for our work. Firmly anchored in a plurisecular tradition but resolutely oriented towards the future, we are building our own tradition with each new collection, redeploying each time the wings of our DNA into new, contemporary and original designs. Jean Depéry, the founder of the Emile Chouriet manufacture, also had a dream. Descending from a family involved in the watchmaking industry in Geneva since the 17 th century, after studies in microengineering and a successful career of his own in the conception and production of watch components, in 1998 he decided to take the next step and create his own timepieces. He named the company after Emile Chouriet, a gifted 17th century watchmaker for whom his own ancestor, François Dagobert Depéry, had produced components. The name is a testimony to Jean Depéry s vision: a tribute to the collaboration between his ancestor and the master watchmaker, it underlines the continued importance of the union of talents and expertise in the field of luxury timekeeping.

109 TRADITION COLLECTIONS 110 PEARL THE SWISS ART OF WATCHMAKING TO WIN OVER THE HEART OF THE EMPERORS OF THE ORIENT Emile Chouriet chose to commemorate the first commercial relations between Swiss watchmakers and the Emperors of China with the Royal Pearl collection. Watchmakers and goldsmiths worked together to create unique pieces magnificently illustrated by the flagship timepieces of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. For this commemoration, Chouriet has designed the brand s most precious watches. They are decorated with gold, set with precious stones and dials are paved with diamonds. They recall the talent that Swiss watchmakers and goldsmiths would implement to win over the heart of Emperors Qianlong or Kangxi and their court.
