PROCESS: 1. Pre-lighten hair using PRAVANA Pure Light Power Lightener to the desired level. For purity of Locked-In color, follow the chart provided and pre-lighten hair to the level indicated for each shade. If hair is lightened beyond the recommended guideline, color transfer may occur.. Before applying Locked-In, hair must be freshly shampooed and completely dried.. Taking 1 sections apply color directly to the hair, applying section-by-section to ensure complete and even coverage. No developer is needed.. Allow to process for 0-0 minutes at room temperature. Once the processing is complete, lightly shampoo with VIVIDS Color Protect and rinse with cool water until the water runs clear. Apply VIVIDS Color Protect Conditioner and rinse. Style as desired. Lifting guide: VIVIDS Locked-In COLOR Lift-to Level Pink and Red 8 Yellow, Teal and Purple 9 Blue 10 Mixing/Customizing Colors: VIVIDS Locked-In can be intermixed to create any color imaginable. Due to the special pigments used, Locked-In colors need to be mixed thoroughly in the bowl. Mix the colors together until you see that there is no separation of the colors and a uniform color is achieved. To lighten or pastel any of the VIVIDS Locked-In colors, use PRAVANA s VIVIDS Clear. Add VIVIDS Locked-In color of your choice to VIVIDS Clear until the color desired is achieved. VIVIDS Locked-In may be intermixed with the other VIVIDS Collection colors, but the color created may transfer. Tips and Tricks: Locked-In colors cannot be removed with PRAVANA Artificial Hair Color Extractor or with any type of bleach. If the Locked-In color is no longer desired in the hair, the best remedial action is to lighten the color using PRAVANA s Pure Light Power Lightener mixed with Zero Lift Developer. Apply this mixture to the color and allow it to remain on the hair for five minutes. This will not remove the color, but rather will lighten it to a point where hair can be colored to a darker shade. When lightening from a level or darker to a level 10, performing a Silk Degrees Demi- Permanent Shine Treatment prior to VIVIDS Locked-In application can even out porosity and create greater anchoring sites to hold color. Locked-In colors are direct-dyes and should be applied with great care to avoid stains to skin.

BEFORE 1 7 Colors Used On Model: Locked-In Purple, Locked-In Pink, Locked-In Blue, Locked-In Yellow Custom Colors Created: Orange: 1 part Locked-In Red + parts Locked-In Yellow Seafoam Green: parts Locked-In Teal + 1 part Locked-In Yellow + 1 part VIVIDS Clear 1 7 Pre-lighten hair to a level 10 using Pure Light Power Lightener with your choice of developer volume. Section the hair from the natural part to the crown, then just behind the ears. Feel inspired and create your color palette. Mix shades together to create custom colors by mixing thoroughly until a uniform color is created. Apply your chosen shades in a pre-selected order to - segments, creating a strong line at the beginning and end of each shade. Continue working up the head, taking ½ -1 sections. Apply the colors in the same pre-selected order as in the first section that you color. The size of the color blocks will gradually increase as you work up the head and into sections with longer length, but should not necessarily line up to the previous section. Rather they should be stacked like shingles on a roof. This is key to keeping a consistent line of color once hair is all down. Work up from the ear to the top of the head, taking ½ -1 sections, applying the colors in the same order and same fashion as through the back section. Lay barriers where needed. Process Locked-In for 0-0 minutes at room temperature. Rinse with no fear of transfer. Use cool water, then shampoo lightly with VIVIDS Color Protect Shampoo, rinse until the water runs clear. Then follow up with VIVIDS Color Protect Conditioner and VIVIDS Color Protect Sealing Spray.

Beginning at the nape and working up the head, apply chosen shades to varying 1 strands from 1 off the scalp through the ends. As you work into the sides, apply varying colors 1 off the scalp through the ends. Starting above the ear, continue working up the sides and onto the top of the head, starting near the scalp, take small 1 strands and apply varying shades. Process Locked-In for 0-0 minutes at room temperature. Rinse with no fear of transfer. Use cool water, then shampoo lightly with VIVIDS Color Protect Shampoo, rinse until the water runs clear. Then follow up with VIVIDS Color Protect Conditioner and VIVIDS Color Protect Sealing Spray.

1 Colors Used On Model: Locked-In Teal Locked-In Purple Locked-In Pink 7 8 1 7 Pre-lighten hair to a level 10 using Pure Light Power Lightener with your choice of developer. Flat-iron the hair prior to VIVIDS application as this technique requires precision for color placement. Create a 1-1½ wide horizontal section above the parietal ridge, off the center parting. This will be the section you are working in. Lay a barrier beneath this section and take down a 1/8 subsection. Starting with VIVIDS Locked-In Teal, press the color into the hair in thick, striated, vertical line formations. In this same section, moving towards the face, place two thick, striated, vertical lines working up towards the part of the hair and evenly spaced. Place a clear film barrier lightly over this section. This is necessary for this technique, as each consecutive placement will rely on the placement in the previous subsection. Bring down the next 1/8 subsection and smooth the hair down in the hair s natural fall. Repeat the previous application using VIVIDS Locked-In Purple and moving slightly left and overlapping over the previous section in VIVIDS Locked-In Teal. Again, place a clear barrier over this section. Take down another 1/8 section. Smooth the hair over the clear barrier in the hair s natural fall. Place VIVIDS Locked-In Pink in between previous Teal and Purple blocks, overlapping where they meet the Teal and Purple. Place a clear barrier over this section. Repeat steps - on the other side of the head. Process 0-0 minutes at room temperature. Remove barriers and rinse. Colors will remain locked-in and will not transfer while rinsing. Shampoo lightly with VIVIDS Protect Shampoo. Follow with VIVIDS Conditioner and VIVIDS Color Protect Sealing Spray.

Starting in the nape, section out varying sizes of strands and alternate the application to create a tie-dye effect. On one strand apply color to the length of the blonde, on the next apply one color to the ends and another color to the top leaving blonde out in between, on the next apply color halfway through the length of the strands, etc. This is a free-hand technique that varies in section and subsection sizes, as well as application. Continue working up the head, varying the application of colors to create a tie-dye effect. Process Locked-In for 0-0 minutes at room temperature. Rinse with no fear of transfer. Use cool water, then shampoo lightly with VIVIDS Color Protect Shampoo, rinse until the water runs clear. Then follow up with VIVIDS Color Protect Conditioner and VIVIDS Color Protect Sealing Spray.
