In Krems Luft report wooyeon chun, international exchange Institution: Gyeonggi Creation Center (KR) It is my first residence abroad. In Korea I also have few experiences in Residence program. It's all new and strange to me. I had no idea about Krems. I was excited and a bit nervous. Because I had missed the Time in Germany, and had always wondered if it was right decision to return home. Every day in Korea I asked myself, Europe (Germany) or Korea? I arrived at NOE. What is NOE? No? Ne? I knew that later, it was the abbreviation of Lower Austria. When I arrived in my studio, I felt very comfortable. There is everything you need and what you had not imagined. A nice little bike that fits perfectly for me. I went out with that immediately. Directly before the residence flows River Donau, with the bike right I can go into the city and left in the old town Stein. On the way to a short drive into the city it rained. I had reminded of the time in Germany. It was quite funny. Because I had missed this moment that I am back in Europe, and now I do not know again whether it would be right place for me. I was simply stranger or someone In-between. Studio is quite quiet. Although next to the Residence is under construction for Artmuseum(Kunsthallekrems), it did not bother me. I hope I can visit next a newly built Kunsthallekrems.
I could do quite well with my work, sleep well and feel quite well. Sometimes I go to old town Stein for walking. And by bike ca.30 min. I arrived at Duernstein and got up on the ruin. I did not know that the Willendorf Vinus was uncovered here around Krems. I was also there. There were constantly exhibitions from other Artists and we all artists and residence colleagues have traveled and visited by train or car. We had lunch together, drunk coffee, drank wine on the balcony. I am quite passive person but everything was quite nice and beautiful. And it was nice to meet other artists through his works (the presentations once a month). It is quite interesting. Mrs. Paula from Literaturhaus Noe had been very helpful in preparing the presentation. I am very grateful to Mrs Paula for her help and support. During my stay there were many festivals and interesting programs, which everyone would have liked to visit. For example, there was Viennacontemporary 2017, which I did not know. It was quite big, but worthwhile to visit. There were lots of great jobs. Residence always has the opportunity informed and concerned. I could see quite a lot. It was very grateful. There is too much to see in Vienna as well. I can reach Vienna by train in 1:30 hours. I gladly bought the monthly ticket with the scholarship to visit Vienna voluntarily. It was a good decision. I was visited many museum or theater secession, Leopold museum, Mumok, Belvedere museum, academy theater, Burgtheater etc. Only if a piece lasts up to 22 clock, I had to consider whether I should go to Krems after the first act or whether I should overnight in Vienna. :)
NOE was beautiful and quiet. Landscape here is wonderful. And I'm still on the question: here and there? Europe or home? No and Ne ( 네 : yes)? I'm still between No and Ne. Here and there, too.
