Eye Primer With Primer

Prep time Always prep the eyes using our Concealer, Eye Primer, or Cream Eye Color. Types of Eye Shadows 1. Mineral shadows are easy to blend and are long-wearing. 2. Cream shadows are great to use as a base for mineral shadows or can be worn alone. As a base, they really grab the powder shadows and create some fun special effects! Have fun experimenting with both.
Eye Shadow Color Selection Selection of eye color is based on three things: 1. Most important the color of your eyes. You want your eye color to pop. Select a color that brings out the color of your eyes. You really don t want to match your eye color; you want to compliment it. 2. Always consider your skin tone. A person with dark skin should avoid very light colors; a person with very light skin should avoid dark colors. 3. The least important thing to consider is the color of your clothing; however, it is best to avoid very cool colors with warm colored clothing and vice versa.
Use 3 colors to shape the eye Use a neutral or natural matte shade that coordinates with skin tone to make corrections. Use bright or bold colors only as accent, not over the entire eye unless you are going for a BOLD look.
Application for most eye shapes Application will depend on your eye shape. (see diagram on opposite page) Highlight color outer brow bone and inner lid. (best sellers are Crystalline and Honey Spice) Mid-tone color outer corner over eye lid and slightly above the crease using a back and forth motion Accent color apply from outer corner of eye into the crease, mostly concentrating on outer corner. *Accent and highlight colors will change with your mood or season of the year.
Identifying Eye Shapes

Eye Liner Purpose is to make the eyelashes appear to be thicker. Different ways to line the eye: 1. Using an eye liner pencil is most common. Line from outer corner on both top and bottom using short feathery strokes. 2. Using Mineral Shadow very easy to apply if using proper tool. It is longer lasting and gives a softer appearance. 3. Liquid or Gel eyeliner use on top lid accompanied by a pencil or shadow on bottom lid. 4. Color selection Black Liner is our best seller so just keep these tips in mind: Black can make eyes look smaller if the line is too thick. If applied too heavy it can be harsh or make you appear to be older so blend well. You can go over it with any color shadow to soften the appearance.
Eye Liners
Mascara purpose is to make the lashes appear to be longer and thicker. Very important part of a finished look. Quick Tips: 1. If using an eyelash curler, curl lashes before applying mascara to avoid damage to your eyelashes. 2. If using MK s Lash Primer, apply it first to top and bottom lashes. Let it dry for at least one minute. 3. Simply put your thumb over the Mary Kay printed on the wand handle. 4. Use the shorter bristles to apply the product in a wiggling motion at the very base of the lashes. 5. Rotate the wand to use the longer bristles to comb the product through the lashes from root to tip. 6. Apply as many coats as you d like depending on how full and long you want your lashes to be allowing 1 2 minutes between each coat. Remember to replace your mascara every 3 4 months. Remove all eye products every night!

Selecting a Lip Color: 1. Bright colors make thin lips appear fuller 2. Full lips can wear deeper shades 3. Lighter skin tones should not wear brown lip colors 4. Dark skin tones should not wear pale, frosty shades 5. Want to look younger? Avoid dark browns & plums. Warmer colors make you look younger. Think Pinks & Corals. 6. For a more dramatic, precise look, use lip liner. 7. More casual? Skip the liner and lipstick and add a little gloss for shine and sheer color!

Color application tips: 1. Apply Age Fighting Lip Primer all over and around lips to seal any lip lines. This will prevent feathering and extend the wear of the lip product. 2. For thin lips: Erase your existing lip line by applying Concealer or Foundation. 3. Use your MK Lip Liner to draw a line slightly above your natural lip on the top and around the bottom. 4. Fill in lips completely with the lip liner color. 5. Place a dab of light Concealer or Highlighter in the center of your top and bottom lip. You can even try Shy Blush Cheek Color for a fun special effect! 6. Apply MK Lipstick in the formula you prefer. 7. Finish with MK Signature Lip Gloss applied to the center of your lips over your lipstick to help make lips appear fuller.
