Sunny Day was established by Mr. Giovanni Isoni in 1978. The company started as a small family business with the mission of promoting the culture of disposable hygiene products and entered the paper world starting to import and sell, as exclusive agent for Italy, the products of one among the three leading Scandinavian producers of disposable paper products for hygienic and sanitary use. In 1983 Sunny Day undertakes a new challenge introducing into the Italian market the quite new and, at that time, still unknown disposable diapers for incontinents. Due to the incredible success achieved by the Incontinence Programme, the management of the company decided to create 2 different sections inside the enterprise: The Paper Division having in charge the sales and the development of the hygiene paper products range after the market needs. The Medical Division with the target of introducing into the medical world the new disposable diapers for incontinents together with a range of auxiliary products purposely developed for the patient s healthcare. Another quite important year for Sunny Day is 1988: the commercial enterprise becomes in fact a paper-converting industry. The management decides important investments in production machinery and, step by step, the full range of paper products is produced at our factory. industrial wipers, paper towels in rolls, C folded towels, toilet papers, examination-table rolls, become the leading items of a full range named Sunny Fort Line produced choosing the best qualities of tissue paper and air-laid tissue offered by the European market, following the Scandinavian policy of top quality products at a reasonable price. In the meantime, incontinence becomes more and more a millionaire business capturing the attention of the leading European companies producing healthcare products who entered directly the Italian market with their own products. The production of disposable diapers for adults increases quickly and exponentially while, correspondingly, the prices on the market collapse. Therefore Sunny Day decides to concentrate its attention on the auxiliary products for the healthcare of incontinents, not self sufficient and bedridden people. In 2001 the company decides to undertake again major investments in new machinery characterized by high-tech production devices and top level security
standards and starts manufacturing disposable hygiene wipes in airlaid tissue and in spunlaced non woven, washing mittens with or without soap and washing sponges. Through the dialogue with users and with the caregivers staff, our Research & Development Dept. has been able to prepare a range of health care solutions produced with top level quality row materials able to provide the user with security and dignity and the nursing staff with a quick and practical use, not forgetting about management costs, so important for hospitals and all healthcare facilities. hygiene wipes in air laid tissue and in non woven, washing mittens with or without soap washing sponges with soap, geriatric bibs protection sheets, are available in different materials and sizes and offer trusted solutions and the best service at a reasonable price. Another important step in the Company s development occurs in year 2010: after the careful analysis of the demographic trends mentioned in the 2009 EU Ageing Report after which in year 2060 almost 172 million people will be over the age of 65, Sunny Day decides to create trusted solutions for private users and give everybody the chance of using the most targeted and practical solutions for the home care of elderly, not self sufficient or bedridden people by adding to its range of products used at hospitals and nursing houses, the so called Sunny Auxilia Line: professional solutions for home care! The latest important investment, made in 2014, has been the purchase of a brand new high technology production line for washing mittens which has permitted the enlargement of the range and the increase of the production capacity, positioning Sunny Day among the leading producers of washing gloves in Europe. EXAMINATION-TABLE ROLLS Produced using long-fibers pure cellulose of the best quality, the rolls have different widths and lengths: - width from 45 to 90 cm.; - length from 80 to 100 m. Description: The range of the examination-couch rolls is produced in pure cellulose 2 ply and it consists of 6 different references developed in order to fulfil most of the market s requirements. Studied mainly for protecting examination tables in consulting rooms, clinics and hospitals, these rolls find wide application also in beauty farms, sport and fitness points, thermal spas, etc. While the most part of similar products available on the market are embossed, our 2 ply range is without any embossing in order to give the paper the maximum softness and gentle touch together with a higher quality level. The embossing process, as a matter of fact, damages the fibers and decreases the paper resistance to traction both when dry and wet. The two ply, however, are joined and kept together by a double knurling on both sides of the paper ribbon. Each roll is perforated every 38 cm. in order to avoid useless waste. Generally packed in boxes of 6 rolls each, it is now possible, on request, to have the rolls packed one by one with a thermo-retractable plastic film achieving a perfect hygiene safeguard from the production to the final users.
