WHAT WE DO ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT Each new project is headed by an Account Manager, who co-ordinates the whole project through the design, development of the products, wearer trial, sign-off, manufacture and delivery through to on-going supply of your new range. In addition we allocate a designer and administrator to the project. All three individuals work closely with your project team. DESIGN We have our own design team. And our own pattern cutters. Inhouse. Our designers will use creative innovation that works with the latest style trends and fabric developments, sourcing fabrics and trims that are good to look at, great to wear and tested as fit-for-purpose. MANUFACTURE You benefit from our established manufacturing links. They re global. Our experienced sourcing and production team are responsible for the sourcing, selection, management and overall performance of our supplier base. JSD takes great care in choosing the companies who supply us directly with goods and services and with whom we aim to build long term partnerships. DISTRIBUTION We get your uniforms to the right person, in the right size, at the right time. We offer a variety of distribution options. From individual man packs delivered to single or multiple locations to bulk deliveries into your distribution centre. The method depends on your exact requirements and we tailor our service to meet your needs.

DESIGN PROCESS At the outset, we do our utmost to understand your brand, the requirements of your staff and their specific job roles the design brief. Then we develop JSD mood boards that give you a choice of design concepts and bring your brief to life. The boards define the image that will work best for your brand. The design process delivers: Initially - Colour palette choices, Silhouette, garment, Competitor research and styling trend options Fabric and trim specification Full range design line up boards And finally - Prototype samples and detailed garment specifications We don t leave quality to chance. How do you know we ll give you the perfect cut and fit? Because our pattern cutters take the approved design and create and cut the pattern, then refine the detail. DISTRIBUTION JSD can store, manage and distribute all your stock. We work with a specialist international warehouse and logistics partner, Davies Turner. The JSD warehouse team then books-in your stock and is responsible for picking and packing your subsequent bulk orders. Stock levels are monitored and maintained by your Account Manager, using our Prima stock management system. High-tech barcoding technology in the Davies Turner warehouse ensures we can promise you pick and pack accuracy. For every new order, we can deliver individually packed items direct to each wearer. Orders are tracked via our web-ordering system. The flexi-space warehouse even adjusts to keep pace with your demand there is no limit (within reason!) to our storage facilities. OUR GREEN AGENDA CORPORATE, ETHICAL AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY How do you monitor the impact of your suppliers operations on the environment? We only work with factories that exercise a duty of care to the environment. We must be satisfied that they use precious water resources responsibly, dispose of chemically treated effluent and dyes safely, and use recyclable materials. They are required to recycle any leftover fabric from a production run and, wherever possible, use it in the next run, so reducing waste and cost. What steps do you take to ensure your processes are ethical and sustainable? We audit everything: from the fabric used at the initial design process we source organic and eco fabrics wherever possible right through to the environmental effect of delivery of the final uniforms. Wherever possible, our delivery schedules are based on shipping not air freight, to reduce our carbon footprint. How do you look to minimise impact on the environment within your own company and by those you work with? Recycled products are specified throughout our own operations: that includes all our packaging. We also encourage clients to reuse packaging wherever possible. We also offer clients the option of garment refurbishment, plus a recycling service for appropriate products. Can we be sure there will be no exploitation of labour markets? We never put profit ahead of our responsibility to our workers. Our factories are not permitted to exploit their labour market to compete for your business. Since no two countries have the same manufacturing cost base, we look for factories with the highest ethical reputation and quality of manufacturing. These factories must operate within the top tier of wage scales for the region. How do you ensure best practice ethically? To keep JSD and our clients ahead of the game in the green arena, we are a member of SEDEX (the Supplier and Ethical Data Exchange) and the Ethical Fashion Forum (EFF) the international industry body for sustainable fashion, with over 6,000 members in 100+ countries. We re also the first design-led corporate wear company to join up to SOURCE, the EEF s global platform for sustainable fashion. This gives us the latest business intelligence, connections and sourcing options, which we then integrate into our own social, environmental and commercial decisions. Members of
