Brief company s history Podnebesnaya & Podnebesny. Pearls and gems - Russian jewellery company founded by the family of Podnebesnys - Ksenia Podnebesnaya, her brother Ilya Podnebesny and their mother Tatyana Nikolaevna Podnebesnaya - is not a pseudonym but a real maiden name of Tatyana Nikolaevna, Ksenia and Ilya s mother. In the Russian language Podnebesnaya is another name for China and direct Russian analogue for English Celestial Empire. This surname predetermined the brand name and it s logotype - angel wings. Initially the company specialized exclusively on pearls and pearl jewellery and was known as Ksenia Podnebesnya Pearl House Ksenia studied pearl craft from the best Japanese artisans and worked as a jewellery designer in Tokyo during several years. And then she came back to Russia to build her own business together with her family The first flagship store opened in 2010 in Lotte Hotel Moscow By 2012 the second, gemstone, line of jewellery business had clearly formed and started to develop actively. It was headed by Ksenia s brother Ilya Podnebesny who is professional gemologist admiring precious stones In 2014 the Podnebesnys jewellery company was included into JPEA organization. We are the only Russian company that was honored JPEA membership In 2015 the manufacturing process was translocated from Japan to Russia. Since then all the jewellery is created in Moscow atelier entirely by hands of the best russian artisans In 2015 another boutique opened in Rixos Hotel in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
