WCA Uniform Guidelines 2016-2017 WCA Uniform Guidelines 2017-2018 Dear Westminster Families, Dear Westminster Families, A few changes are coming in our WCA dress code for the 2016-2017 school year. Here are are a few a few changes things to you be will aware need of: to be aware of regarding our uniform policy. Burgundy is no longer an approved uniform color for the Lower School. This includes all burgundy items such as shirts, sweatshirts, fleeces, sweaters, hair accessories and socks. All new shirts ordered will be embroidered with the new school logo. Shirts with the old logo are still approved for wear. Upper School PE Uniforms will be purchased through WCA and will be available in our school store. WCA spirit wear (hoodies, t-shirts and other items) will be available for purchase at our school store.
LOWER SCHOOL UNIVERSAL GUIDELINES PLEASE label everything your child wears to school, especially jackets and sweaters. Shirts are to be tucked in. Undershirts are to be white. Hair accessories are to be in WCA colors. Solid brown, black, khaki or navy belts are to be worn with bottoms with belt loops. Hats and scarves are to be removed when indoors and no other decorative accessory is to be worn along with the uniform. Heavy coats may not be worn in the classroom. CHAPEL UNIFORM Boys Khaki pants or shorts with logoed Navy polo shirt or Logoed White Oxford Girls Khaki Skort with Logoed Navy polo shirt or Logoed White Oxford OR Navy Jumper with White Peter Pan blouse worn underneath the jumper SPIRIT WEAR Designated days throughout the year will be deemed Spirit Wear Day. UPPER SCHOOL UNIVERSAL GUIDELINES All clothing should be in good repair and fit appropriately, not too low, tight or baggy. Boys shirts are to be tucked in. Girls shirts longer than mid-hip are to be tucked-in. All undershirts are to be white, long sleeve and short sleeve. Solid brown, black, khaki or navy belts are to be worn with bottoms with belt loops. Hats are not permitted during school hours. outwear that is worn inside the buildings, during the school day, must either be purchased from WCA, an approved vendor, or be solid in color. Students attending school functions on or off campus should exhibit all standards of modesty as noted in the dress code. CASUAL FRIDAY Non-uniform clothing may be worn including tops, bottoms and shoes of any color, including flip-flops shirt may be worn provided it is modest, has sleeves and does not contain inappropriate slogans or graphics. type or color of short or pant can be worn with the following exceptions. Pajama pants, yoga pants, leggings and sweatpants may not be worn. All shorts and skirts should still adhere to the length specifications as noted in the Monday- Thursday dress code. Participation in Casual Friday is a privilege. Students who abuse either the Monday-Thursday dress code or Casual Friday code may lose the opportunity to participate in Casual Friday.
