LOMETA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Student Dress Code 2014-2015 The Lometa ISD Vision: Promoting the success of every child every day and upholding the tradition of Hornet Pride!

DRESS AND GROOMING The District s dress code is established to teach standardized grooming and hygiene, prevent school disruption, and minimize safety hazards. The District prohibits clothing or grooming that in the principal s judgment may reasonably be expected to cause disruption of or interference with normal school operations. The interpretative authority of appropriateness of dress or grooming shall be vested with the Lometa ISD administration. Dress Code Violations If the Lometa ISD administration determines that the student s grooming or dress violates the dress code, the student shall be given an opportunity to correct the problem. In the event of clothing violation, a parent or designee may bring an acceptable change of clothing to the school or the school may provide clothing. If the student is unable or unwilling to correct the violation, the student shall be assigned disciplinary action including removal from class and/or activity. Extracurricular and Activity Dress Codes The Lometa ISD administration, in cooperation with the sponsor, coach, or other person in charge of an extracurricular activity, may regulate the dress and grooming of students who participate in the activity. Students who violate these standards may be removed or excluded from the activity for a period of time determined by the administration and/or the sponsor and may subject to disciplinary action. All students enrolled in Lometa I.S.D. shall follow the following specific guidelines for dress and grooming.
