CommClean Rust Remover CommClean RUST REMOVER Commonwealth Oil's CommClean Rust Remover is a liquid rust remover designed for use on ferrous metals. CommClean Rust Remover can be used at temperatures of ambient to 55 C/130 o F depending upon the severity of rusting and process time. CommClean Rust Remover can be painted over without rinsing CommClean Rust Remover is best used at elevated temperatures. The higher the concentration and the temperature the faster acting the product will be. This is also dependent on the amount of rust to be removed. Temperature should not go above 55 C/130 F. CommClean Rust Remover will leave a light phosphate coat for in process rust protection. CommClean Rust Remover can be applied by spraying or soaking. CommClean Rust Remover is normally recommended at a 10:1dilution (10%) but may be used at varying concentrations depending on the soils being removed. CommClean Rust Remover is especially formulated to deliver the following benefits: Can be painted over without rinsing due to the phosphate coating that acts as a primer. Non-flammable and non-toxic. It will not release toxic fumes Useful on ferrous metal parts Will leave a light phosphate coating which allows for short term in-process corrosion inhibition. If temperature is above 55 C/130 F and/or the concentration is above 25% some types of paint may be removed. Page 1 of 7
